👤I bought these for my backyard pergola to play music from my phone. I just installed them and tried them out, so I don't know if they will last, but here are some initial thoughts. It's easy to setup and link speakers. If you have a straight tip jewelers screwdriver, it is not hard to wire the two speakers together. The style of the passive speaker is more traditional. It is linked once wired together. 2. It is easy to install brackets. The brackets are thought out. You can hang the key slot cutouts with screws. The knobs to attach speakers to brackets are easy to use, but it is easier to remove brackets from speakers. 3. Sound quality is very good. It's not great, mind you. These are not the same as Bose, but they are not priced the same. These speakers sound nice. It's not clear why another reviewer said otherwise, unless his speaker wires crossed the same direction. Make sure your speaker wire has ribbed or line on it. You can make sure you have positive and negative vibes. 4. It's really good. I moved around with my phone in hand and didn't lose signal. The setup was easy. The speakers appeared on my phone after I had powered them on. Clicked connect and was good to go! There was an audible chirp over the speaker. 5. Not everything you need is provided. The speaker wire connection requires a jewelers screwdriver to open a slot to insert the wire, and then a close slot to close it. It was odd, and the only reason I see for not having traditional terminal posts like the other speaker is that it allows you to easily remove wires from a speaker mounted to a wall. There is no speaker wire. Not even a short one. They could have included a short, low budget wire to get you started. I don't have an audio reel on hand, so I'll probably have to make a run to Walmart for speaker wire, and that jewelers screwdriver, perhaps. 6. The instructions are not overly complicated, but they are a bit misleading. The setup reads as if the speaker wire is already on one of the speakers. It is not included at all. 7. The material quality is good. The speakers are not Bose equivalents, but for what you pay, it is pretty good. I did not take cover to inspect the materials. Hopefully they have chosen a nice cone that is resistant to water. If longevity is insufficient, I will change this review. The speaker is made of poly/plastic and wouldn't rust. It seems sturdy enough for what you pay. The speaker knobs are plastic, but have a brass insert and metal screw. The metal is coated. Sturdy enough, and designed to secure speakers in either horizontal or vertical position. There are 8. The sound can be adjusted in regards to bass, treble, and volume, but it's via knobs on the back of the speaker. I would have rated this 5 stars if there was an app that could make these sound adjustments so you don't have to reach in the small space between the back of the speaker and the wall to adjust it. That is my run down. Hope this helps. I have tried to give more details on what I think is positive and negative, but in the end, I am happy with the purchase.

2. Onkyo Channel Wireless Bluetooth Multimedia

Onkyo Channel Wireless Bluetooth Multimedia

Onkyo has a Home Theater Receiver. The Polk speakers are floor standing. The Polk Bookshelf Speaker is a pair. The Polk 2-Way Center Channel Speaker is from Polk. Polk 10-Inch Active Subwoofer.

👤Only one channel was functional after we purchased this. We have tried to contact the vendor several times, but have had no response. We should reach out to the vendor according to Amazon. Absolutely frustrating!

👤This system sounds great. It took a long time to receive all the items. To make sure everything was responded to quickly, the seller was contacted a lot. This is not a complete in the box system, but you know all items are seperate, so for the money time and patience for delivery, I recommend this set up speakers.

👤The system is great for the price. The family is happy, but we can finally stop watching TV with the caption turned off. The movies sound great. It was loud and clear. It took about 2 hours to set it up, the tower speakers were a little shorter than I expected, but I love them.

👤Don't be foolish and listen to other people. Sounds amazing. Even at less than 100%. Friends wish they had it. I don't think Amazon reviews are good. This is good music. The dead are blasted. And PHISh!

👤Customer service was even better than Stereo. The reciever was fixed quickly.

👤Setting up a system is easy.

Brand: Sony

👤The version is called the TL;DR version. It's worth every penny. Buy the rear speakers as well. This is my favorite thing. You don't know what you're missing. People who love audio but aren't building dedicated theaters, people with reasonably-sized rooms and apartments, and people who love "that movie sound" are the best for. It's great for the everyday person who appreciates sound but doesn't want a complicated setup. Not best for large spaces, those who want huge amounts of volume, and those expecting tower-level performance out of a soundbar. I am Sony's perfect test mule, a home theater enthusiast, audio snob, and proud member of the "Soundbars are nonsense and your speakers should be wired" camp. I was going to jump on it when it popped up with all the buzzwords, but it runs 3.1. I'm a bit crazy as I seek out things to prove me wrong and learn. This could be my masterpiece, and boy was it. You will be hard-pressed to find much bang for your buck. You're still staring down a sound system that costs over $1300 with the rear channels, but "Little" is relative. Unless you're willing to go down the dark rabbit hole of dedicated theaters with the right speakers in the right places, you won't find a better experience. SETUP setup requires a few visits to the manual. I have a 4K TV that requires a few changes in settings, but the manual walks you through them. It's pretty plug-and-play. The "easy setup" wizards don't need to think about it when speakers pair themselves. It's stupid-simple. Love it. I wanted to make sure it could actually cast audio. I fired up the service on my phone and it was there. I chose a live recording to see what it could do and stopped doing anything for an hour. It's the most generic description I've ever heard. You're there. This is an experience that is not static. You feel like you are at the show when you listen to live recordings. It's beautiful, magical, and addictive. Which leads us to the next question, what does that mean for movies? I thought I should test that and see if it's good. Remember the line about the dog? There are fireworks in this demo. I can't think of a better example than the dog looking at the ceiling. If a dog is confused, they are doing something right. The speakers are so good that the level of immersion is amazing. They're so good at it that it makes me angry that they're doing an injustice to these things. Sound from TV to movies is easy to setup. Watching a few other TV shows and movies made the dog over at the speakers enjoy a saxophone and made everything come to life. It can be hard to balance if you're not into that kind of thing. This doesn't require any tuning on my part and it balances voices and sounds easily. God of War is in a video game mode. This should be the most amazing thing that Sony has to offer -- a Sony TV running a Sony game on a Sony PS4 through a Sony soundbar. I have played video games in a theater before, but this is the first time I have been able to hear sounds. I don't think it's the speakers' fault that some sounds fall flat. I think they aren't rendered with authentic sound and the speakers only replicate what they hear. The smaller sounds sound amazing. Sound effects are not as loud. I think it's harder to say 3.1 equates to 7.1.2. I think it's not the speakers fault. These seem to bend the laws of physics to create a sound that's more realistic and you need to pick up the rear channels. There is a noticeable difference between the rears and the fronts. The sound system doesn't shine without those rear channels. Don't get me wrong, it's still very good, but just throw in the extra money. I have a few gripes about this thing, but they wouldn't deter me from buying it. If you have a smart TV, you still need to keep two remotes. If you use the smart apps on your TV, you can't use the soundbar in a traditional format. It's not a big deal. Since I was old enough to use them, I probably have at least two remotes. I think Sony will change this in the future. It could use more power. It's perfect for my space and your mileage will vary with it. The room it's in has 16' ceilings and 20' x 30' walls. It provides a lot of punch and I think it's a good spot. If you want to fill something bigger, this may not be the system for you. Be honest with yourself, that's a pretty big room. A lot of people get caught up in the wattage game without asking themselves how often they have this thing cranking up to 11. When using a smart TV, it can be difficult to switch from one service to another. Sony could fix the software issues in time. It's a bit of an edge case and doesn't take away from the overall experience. I expected this system to be half marketing hype and it blew me away. It made me believe that sound engines can change the dynamic. It knocks it out of the park because it targets a specific buyer who really appreciates sound but doesn't want to spend a lot of money or time on it. I am grateful. I received it through the Amazon program. Let me know if you find it helpful.

Brand: Polk Audio

👤The definition of TERRIBLE is Polk support. There was no resolution. I have been promised a replacement for nearly two months. The potential for this product is there, but the performance so far is poor. The surround speakers make a most annoying sound. Tech support has not supported the problem. I wouldn't speak to these speakers until the problem is solved. I wish I'd found this information before I purchased it, as I have found on-line others complaining of the same issue. Don't buy this and don't buy Polly - Customer Service gets worse. It's sad to say.

👤It was bought on March 14th and is dead on July 9th. I tried optical, HDMI, and Bluetooth, but it kept restarting and wouldn't play sound from any source. I thought it was a nice sounding system, but who keeps boxes that big for more than a few weeks? Polk customer service will be reviewed. Polk Customer service is fantastic, absolutely no hassle, nothing to provide, and I had a replacement in less than 10 minutes. It was easy to hook up the new one. Hope this one lasts, it sounds like it was as good as the first one.

👤I wanted an excellent soundbar and it was exactly what I got. I was looking for a replacement for a traditional receiver and 5.1 speaker surround sound system, but I was worried that a soundbar wouldn't live up to my expectations. I'm not an audio engineer. I can't tell the difference between the Polk Left/Center/ Right speakers I had previously and this one. The surround sound is what I wanted, they need a power outlet each. And that's it. The way my room is configured I can't have the rear speakers wired to a single amplifier because there are other sound bars with separate rear channels. Other people have stated that the sub is very impressive. I was nervous about how it would sound, but I'm very happy. There was an update on 5-13. It was reduced to three stars. Sometimes we watch TV in the other room with a cheap soundbar that doesn't have these issues, because the crackling fire in the front speakers is so bad. When changing channels or going into the Comast menu, the soundbar will sometimes disengage from the audio source, and then it takes a few seconds to get back to playing sound. I will contact Polk to see what they have to say.

👤I bought a sound bar on Thanksgiving. It was a unit that I was interested in buying. It was too good to pass up. Within 40 minutes, I had the bar running. The only reason for it taking so long is through my Fire cube. A bar at this price range will get an additional 3 HDMI ports. There is a medium sized master bedroom. The power of the sub is quite noticeable. I'm in a house. I would let her rip. The ease of use is what makes me happy as a blind person. The setup and system update was done through the app. A total of 5 minutes. The only problem I had was learning the remote layout. I would like to see remote layout documentation in user guides. Customers who are blind would benefit from it. Polk customer service explained the buttons. All within a few minutes. I spoke to a gentleman who was very nice. There is a The sound bar is large enough to cover the full width of my television. Be prepared! The box is large. It was a challenge to open it. Very well packed. The bass, lows, and mid range are all great. Voice quality is clear. A good buy for a small to medium sized room. I'm considering the surround speakers, but I might make my neighbor angry. We'll see! There is a If you are considering this unit... I recommend it to you. I can discern tones with my sight. A very clean sound.

This soundbar and sub is an exceptional home entertainment system that will give you multi-dimensional audio and hi-fi surround sound.

Brand: Denon

👤If you've followed any of my other soundbar reviews, you'll already know that I've been on a quest for the best stand alone (no separate sub) soundbar in the market. The Sony HTX8500, Yamaha1080 and one by Polk Audio are the other soundbars that I've tried, so I'll be comparing this one to the other three. If the electronics and design are good enough, you will find that a good soundbar will draw you even further into a film without drawing your attention to the soundbar itself. The S216 does a good job of creating a decent size soundstage if you are close to the soundbar. The Denon comes up about as good as the Sony and Yamaha. The soundstage for Midway is better than the Yamaha, but it's not as good as the Sony. The Denon has more adjustability to the bass level than the Sony, so it provides a better experience. The Denon really comes into its own when Independence Day has a DTS soundtrack. I was drawn into the whole experience by the soundstage. It's the same as both the Sony and Polk Audio soundbars, they can all be overwhelmed with too much bass added in. This was where the Yamaha excelled. The Denon has a place where it beats the others hands-down. Denon has done their homework in this area, and the way in the lead amongst the other soundbars I've bought is the Medium setting on the S216. The bass from the S16 could be better. It does better than the 8500 due to more adjustability and beats Polk Audio hands-down, but it's really short of Yamaha's1080. I think it's because the 1080 uses larger, down firing built in subs, and likely with a bit more power. I can't really call it bad, but the performance was disappointing. This is the only area where Sony's 8500 was the clear winner, and with so many 4K discs being encoded in Dolby Atmos, it may be its biggest downfall. The superior Dialog Enhancement found on the Denon goes a long way to make up for this. The ugly: I don't plan on using this soundbar for music playing, but am rating it for others in that respect so they can get an idea of what they are looking for. Despite being made by one of the best audio manufacturers, the S216 comes up short in music reproduction. The soundstage shrunk significantly when it was put through its paces for movies and the high end is far too restrained. If you're looking for a multi-purpose soundbar, the Yamaha is the better choice, although the1080 does not pass through Dolby Vision, so it is not a good choice. Positives include outstanding dialog enhancement, good soundstage, and great adjustability for bass levels. I'm using it over the Sony 8500 because of the Denon's superior Dialog Enhancement and more adjustability for bass level. I'm considering trying the newer Sony 3.1 Dolby Atmos capable soundbar to see if it will offer the superior experience of the 8500, but have Dialog Enhancement as good as that found on the S216. The Denon will be my sound system for now. Thank you for reading and viewing!

Brand: Enclave Audio

👤When it worked it was great, the product was nicely packed. There are only positive things I can say about this product. Even though I am tech savvy, I had multiple setup issues. I haven't had any problems setting up my stuff. Plug and play is what this system should do. It wasn't in my case. I had issues with only receiving pcm audio, and audio cutting out every five minutes. You need to use their app to use the system. The app crashes frequently. I received a remote before the unit shipped to me, which was nice. Their tech support is condescending. They couldn't figure out what my issue was and referred me to the manufacturer of my television. I contacted tech support again after I called the manufacturer. I received an email that was very rude and blamed me and the setup for the issues. They had the owner call me to fix something. He used bad language and was rude. Even though my settings were correct, my issue was solved. After everything was setup correctly, I decided to give the system a chance. It worked well for a couple of weeks and then started cutting out during movies on hbo. The audio would stop for 20 seconds and come back into the right speaker. I tried to figure out the problem with Chromecast. The issue began occurring with everything I watched. I received a rude reply to my email. I sent the system back. I was able to return the product and that's why the issues occurred. Do yourself a favor and not have to use this system.

👤I have two 5.1 surround home theatre systems. They were decent. The last one was destroyed when the internal dvd crashed and corrupted the receiver unit. I was researching wireless systems because I was tired of stringing speaker wire. I have not been disappointed by the Cinehome II. It comes complete in a box. Wireless allows for great flexibility in placement within a few feet of a wall sockets. Plug the power source into the tv and within seconds it will pair to all the speakers. The app on my phone allows me to change settings. The app has a layout that shows active speakers and a touch to test levels. I own a fire tv, chromecast, and a high quality dvd player. The high and mid-range speakers have crystal clarity, and the bottom of the system is superb, which is better than either of my previous systems. I received a reply within an hour on my email question. I recommend the Enclave for easy installation and high quality.

👤I put together this thing in about 20 minutes. No fuss. I wanted no wires going from the screen to the recliner. Good sound, surround that doesn't feel intrusive, got that. Sometimes I do with concerts, and I can raise the roof. You listen to Beethoven. No 5. You will float away, tenderly caressed by sound clouds. A ferry scene from Spider-man: Homecoming. The web-slinger is a great test for surround effects. The Spider-man and the Vulture fight is a great work-out for a home cinema set-up. First it is some standard busy action - gun shots from left, right, up and down; smart dialogue; and then the quick move to a full-on swinging and flying fest from the two lead characters. The final act is the most important for your sub. When the ferry splits in two, there is some groaning and breaking up of the hull, which needs to be communicated by your system with terrifying weight to give that genuine sense of scale. This is a good time to show the system's ability for dynamics and detail. The person who wrote bad reviews to this gear was either having a bad day or a shill for a competing product. Of course. I have had the system for a year. I don't know why anyone would have issues with it. It fills my man-cave with sound. I had a problem today. The power went off for a while. The CineHome II 5.1 produced no sound when it came back. I contacted Tech Support and they sent me some directions. When we lost power, the TV settings which enable the audio to be sent to the hub were lost as well. In 10 minutes, I reset the speakers, the hub, the TV, and the wireless. I gave the system a 5 stars a year ago, so I would like to add more.

7. Klipsch Reference Theater Surround System

Klipsch Reference Theater Surround System

The Klipsch reference theater pack has a minimal footprint. The cleanest, most natural sound can be achieved with Klipsch's exclusive Tractrix Horn technology. The wireless sub is designed to deliver room-filling low frequencies without requiring a lot of floor space. Each satellite speaker has a threaded insert and a keyhole mount, which make it easy to place the wireless subwoofer. The reference theater pack has a minimal footprint.

Brand: Klipsch

👤The purchase of this product was about 5 stars. Good product, good sound quality, arrived on time. There was a problem that turned into a nightmare. One of the simpler and inexpensive parts of the subwoofer is the rubber foot, which is one of the legs that should have it. It was inserted under pressure. Why is this important? Without the rubber feet on the sub, it will lose its stability and the leg will hit the floor, creating a noise that shouldn't be there. Klipsch customer service initially was excellent, and immediately sent a replacement. The replacement parts were wrong. They made sure they had the correct model. They double check to make sure everything was okay. The attendant went to another department to check out what went wrong and assured me that I will work this time. Wrong part arrives again. I sent pictures with arrows pointing the rubber foot and a schematic sketch so they could recognize the mysterious part. Klipsch said to go find this part on the secondary market. I can't return the product because of the time spent. The price was lowered to make it even better. Customer service from Klipsch was incompetent. If my friends decide to buy anything from Klipsch, I'll use the system with a piece of cardboard under the leg to repeat the story.

👤I am retired but I can't throw away money. We built our own home on our farm and all of it is paid for by God. I went to a store. I paid less for the speakers on Amazon than I did for the Klipsch ones. I bought my receiver from Amazon a year ago because of the tight finances. Got it paid for, bought some great sounding Klipsch speakers and love them. What a sound. I am going to put my QLED 70 series on my wall. Got it from NFM. A beautiful vent free fireplace is1-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-65561-6556 The setting is going to be beautiful. I want to have many romantic nights with my wife. God is in control of life. I went to Best Buy and the Geek Squad came to my house and said that it would cost a lot to install my speakers. I did it myself at 72 years old. The Stereo cabinet I put together is beautiful. I put the wheels under it because it will weigh 200 lbs. Almost solid wood. Thanks to Amazon, life is more affordable. The farmer is Joe.

👤The system came without a wireless accessory for the sub. The company that sold me the unit ignored me when I contacted them. If you would like to buy this system. Don't buy it here. I had a look at the Klipsch sub. It is a Onkyo sub in a box. Sending everything to klipsch on Monday.

👤I bought the speakers and receiver from thelipsch Black Reference Theater Pack 5.1. This is the best sound I have ever heard after I got it all set up. This system spits out perfect sound with everything I throw at it, from football games to television to different genres of music. I am playing my favorite songs and am hearing sounds I have never heard before. If you are going with 5.1 surround, I recommend this system. If I were to put a system in a larger room, I would have bought a 7.1 receiver and tried using the Klipsch as surround speakers, but now after listening to the Klipsch, I would go with the Klipsch.

8. Polk Audio MagniFi Theater System

Polk Audio MagniFi Theater System

The small size, big sound is packed with a collection of powerful drivers and tweeters that produce clear sound. If you have space limitations for your home theater system, these sound bars are a must-have. There is an experience with PoLK's proprietary audio technology and 5.1 digital coding. Multi-dimensional surround sound can be heard in your living room, bedroom, or media room with the INCLUDED WIRELESS SUBWOOFER. Polk's exclusive Voice Adjust Technology lets you control voice levels in ways that maximize sound clarity and minimize voice delays. It has independent modifications for movies, music, and sports so that you hear every word, making your movie, sports, and music experience absolutely exquisite. You can stream music from your phone, tablet, or other compatible device to a multi-room system. You can stream your favorite music tracks to your sound bar. You can set up the sound system in minutes using the included cables and the Home app.

Brand: Polk Audio

👤Everything is still great and even better. After adding a PS4 to the mix, I decided to re-configure the cables to use optical input. After nearly 8 months, I have an on-screen volume indicator again, instead of relying on the sound bar LEDs, and the sound quality is even better. This sound bar can be used if your TV supports HDMI. I have since programmed everything through a Harmony Ultimate remote, instead of the tiny, stroke inducing one I used to use. All the thumbs up! I bought this product with my own hard-earned salary and have no reward or free product from a 3rd party. It's kind of a novel. It has been 6 months since I purchased the MagniFi mini and I have gotten quite a bit of welcome, unexpected bang for my buck. I was skeptical that a tiny bar and sub could give me a believable theater sound experience. Even though the bar is in front of me, underneath my TV, the sound feels like it's coming from all around the room. The brick main bar speaker is very heavy. The sub is light and well-made, and it fits just about anywhere. The learning curve when it comes to figuring out your optimal audio settings is quite steep. You'll be tweaking your TV's audio out settings for a while. When I was used to seeing a visual indicator on the TV, getting used to knowing what the colored lights on the speaker front were telling me was different. It took about a month to find the optimal setting for the speakers and the TV, and I have connected them all. I don't think I've been able to use this speaker to its full potential, but I can say that when I turn it on, it cranks it up to an ignorant level. 99% of the time, I stream from TV apps. Now etc. The sound is balanced and doesn't require any changes from the remote. I didn't know what to think about quiet movies like Moonlight, but I watched it the night I got the speaker. I replaced the factory wire with a high quality optical cable and noticed an improvement in the sound quality. The streaming quality is equally amazing. I've tried streaming from my Mac and a few other devices. Each one worked well and was easy to pair. I haven't tested the sound quality from TV to the speaker because my U-verse cable box takes up the only ARC port on the TV. I'm pretty sure it's excellent. I'll update if there's anything significant that comes out of it. Channel changes or changing content while streaming is one of my gripes with inputs. The sound delay can take several seconds to resume if you don't hit a volume button. It's annoying and I'm wondering if using an audio visual system will fix it... I'll test it eventually. Audio when watching cable TV has always been and continues to be a butt pain. I'm not blaming the speaker system because I think the U-verse cable box is the problem, it just needs to be upgraded. Some channels only support certain audio formats. Some channels will not have sound until I change the TV audio out setting to plain Dolby+. I have to crank it to 11 to hear anything, then get a change of pants once a commercial comes on because the rest of the city will know what I'm watching. I know which channels to avoid at this point. It's a bit Meh. No problem. The remote is the last gripe. The person who thought of this design should have called in sick. #1 It is not very responsive. Nothing is going to happen if you point it at the speaker. There are major responsive issues with the scalloped/flat buttons. It takes 3-4 presses to cut the sound and the button is not the right place. Volume Up and Down are not straight. In a perfect world, Volume Up should be raised so you can feel the difference in your hand without looking. If you aren't pressing in the right spot, you will do the opposite of what you want. It was very annoying. The speaker has light emitting diodes. The number of clicks to change the volume level is a mystery. I still have to look at the lights to know my press is registered. The sound level can be displayed with 1 click and then 3-6 clicks to affect the volume level. I have eliminated these issues by programming the speaker on my remote. It's perfect anywhere. I wish I had waited, but I needed an audio upgrade immediately after my purchase, and the price has gone down to $199. The product was worth the price tag. Don't hesitate to get your hands on this system. If you're looking for high product quality, ease of use, and awesome audio quality, then you don't need to pre- search. This new lower price is an un-pass-up-able steal, so you will not be disappointed. I wonder how many points that word has.

👤Trying to find a way to get a refund. We couldn't hook anything up because of the damage to the item.

👤The system is not worth it, it's so low you have to be next to the TV to hear it, and the TV is more loud than what I paid for. I wouldn't recommend it. This system can be used by anyone. So. So unhappy with it.

👤The sound quality is better on the HDMI. The surround sound speaker wires are short, but they were able to reach all areas of the living room with extensions. The sound quality is clear and it is a great buy.

👤The product description says that the speakers are not wireless. I put it out in the garage because I wanted to install it in my family room.

👤The bass sound is very good. The side and surround speakers were only two meters long. A better cinematic sound effect in a medium to large room can be achieved with a further distance from the speaker than from the sub. The speakers had manual controls and I had some spare batteries, so it was not a big deal. This was not something I was expecting from the speakers. The speakers are great, but could have been better.

👤The speaker wires are too short, so spend a few extra dollars and get something else.

👤Nice sound output light effect.

👤I only wanted this because it was wireless. This is not a wireless device.

👤I don't know how to make the sound come out. I am going to contact support or ask someone that knows the system. This system is very nice.

👤The review is now edited. The sound bar has stopped working. I have had another Vizio soundbar for many years, but I am not an audio engineer. I retired that to see what a newer generation sound bar was like. I was happy to use the inputs on the sound bar and try out the new features on my XBox. Installation is quick like my last one. I don't have to refer to the manual. The way in which the box is aligned makes sense and it's nicely labelled. I was amazed at how small everything is. The viewing section at the bottom of my television was blocked by my older Vizio soundbar. I have an air-gap between the TV and the soundbar. My daughter called the speakers cute because they are so small. The last one was a small one. The sound of the older Vizio soundbar is startling. It is clear to us as we sit 8 feet away. I was picking up on sounds I didn't know existed while playing our XBox. It's like the previous soundbar was muffled, as if a blanket was over it, if I were to describe it plainly. The sound came through so clear after the blanket was removed. The manual doesn't explain why there is an internet connection on the back of the unit or how to use it. I know it has Smartcast by language on the box, but my point is that the manual speaks nothing about it. It's almost like they forgot to include a chapter. I tried to connect to the soundbar using my phone's app out of curiosity, I own a Vizio television with Smartcast. The sync between phone app and soundbar failed because it detected it. I don't need the app or the soundbar, so I will stop using them. I was sad to find out the connection on the soundbar is not 4k/UHD. I assumed this would work with my 4K television because everything seems to be different now. I used my FireTV last night to start a Grand Tour show in a high definition format. I was presented with an error-factoid that said my connection was not rated for high definition. I ran an optical cable to the soundbar after dropping my popcorn, and then I connected the television and the optical cable. The Grand Tour was back in 4K. I can't comment on the movie because it requires a HDMI connection. I still give it 4.5 stars, but it's up to 5 stars. It's small, cute and the sound is better than my previous one. We love it. I would love to be able to connect for 4K via the HDMI. That was a moment I will never forget. On 6th of May, the edit was done. It was purchased on April 24th and died on June 5th. We woke up this morning to find our soundbar dead between being turned off last night and this morning. There was no power. We walked through many steps after I contacted Amazon. Amazon decided to give me a refund because there were no replacements to be had. The soundbar is out of stock. I have to send the pieces back to Amazon with the label they provided. I have reduced my original review to a 1-star, but Amazon still gets 5-stars for their helpfulness. There are a lot of recent reviews of people suffering with this soundbar. Beware. Beware.
