Brand: Pioneer

👤I have a VSX-1130 in my living room and I really like it. I wanted to buy one for my basement, but didn't want to spend a lot. The price is 3 times the price of the 1130 I can't tell the difference in sound. The 1130 has bells and whistles, but the 534 is light and easy to set up. What else would you like? The sound from the 534 blew away the old Onkyo I replaced. Very happy. I would have gotten the 534 instead of the 1130 if I could do it over. Very happy. I replaced my old receiver with a cheaper one in my living room. It sounds better. Still very happy with it.

👤This is a fine piece of equipment if you don't need to use the HDMI connection to your TV. I needed the ARC capability when I bought this to use with my new TV. When the receiver is turned off, the signal will pass through. Problems exist with it on or off. I have a satellite input to the receiver and the ARC connected to it. There is an audio delay when you pause a tv show and start again. When you channel surf or change channels, the output to the tv becomes scrambled and you will lose the output altogether. I had to stop using the tv receiver because it was so bad. It took me a while to realize that the problem was the AV receiver and that I should have connected the tv directly to the satellite box. I missed the 30 day return so I'm stuck with the problem.

👤If you have small space, you're a great receiver. I own a huge Pioneer VSX that is twice the size and weight of the 534. If it's too big to fit in a cabinet. If there is plenty of power and features, a smaller surround can fit anywhere. Unless you wire the unit to the TV to complete setup, you cannot get out of setup mode. I didn't want to use the receiver to run my TV. I only wanted to use an optical connection. I had to run the TV, DVD and Echo through the receiver after the TV prompt. The main front speaker connection allows for 14 gauge wire while the center and back channels speaker ins only allow 16 gauge wire.

👤I wanted to test this receiver out for a while before I submitted a review. I'm very happy with this Pioneer. This was a great upgrade to my old Kenwood 5.1, which did not support the new DTS, and which was replaced by a slightly newer Yamaha that bit the dust after a power surge. I don't like to listen to music but I do like the fact that a receiver can belt out music and a picture with no distortion. The receiver delivers on both fronts. Older and newer CDs are clear. The dialog is clear while the movies boom through my subs. I wish they put a second slot on the front of the device for quicker, more convenient firmware updates and simple mp3 players. Follow the instructions carefully. The website gives more information on the steps, but they require you to turn off HDMI. If you need a receiver in a pinch, this Pioneer is worth the money because it is well worth the money. I put a couple of AC fans on top of the receiver to keep it cool. The previous Yamaha I owned was so hot I could fry an egg. I'm not taking any chances with this one. This application is where the receiver shines, because I bought an Lg UBK80 4k player. The sound of Ex Machina was amazing, with clear dialogue and booming lows of the soundtrack. The explosions boomed when I watched the 4k version of Aquaman. When the Atlanteans shot off in the ocean, my room shook. I am using a Sony sub and a Yamaha sub with Bose surround sound. The receiver made everything shine. For the first time, I could tell that I had surround speakers.

2. Denon AVR S760H 7 2 Channel Theater Receiver

Denon AVR S760H 7 2 Channel Theater Receiver

The AccuReflex and AccuEQ have subwoofers. Enhanced realism and new features are available. You will think it's happening right above you when you hear the sound of a helicopter or rain. The 7.2 channel has two channels driven. 6 inputs and 1 output. There are 3 dedicated HDMI 2.1 inputs with 8k up scaling. Most voice assistants have support. 8K UDH, HDCP 2.3, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, 4k/ 120 and eArc are included.

Brand: Denon

👤It was delivered before the expected delivery date. I wasn't happy with FedEx because they said I signed for it when no one else did. I connected this to my Sony XBR65X900H with a certified HDMI 2.1 cable. Everything is running perfectly on my PC and player. The surround sound system I manually adjusted was worth the money.

👤I'm not close to a soundwave snob. The setup was easy. The eq for regular tv is great. The atmos sound is amazing. The XBOX atmos is mind blowing. The bass is smooth and can be loud when needed. The upscaling looks good. I can see the crispprints in the grass with a decent 2.1 48gig hdmi cables. I was skeptical of the 8k upscale claims. I don't know how to measure that but the picture is amazing. The Denon and HEOS apps are available on both Apple and Android. I would like to be able to reassign the Quick Select button tasks, which is the only nitpicky thing I have to say about it so far. The button is not what I want it to be. I would buy this thing again. I think it's a good deal for what it does. I'll leave you with my nephew's words of review to my brother, "Sounds like we're at the movies daddy!"

👤I bought this Denon for myself because my old Sony receiver died. The set-up was very straight forward and the included microphone made it easy to balance the sound in the room. The Video Upscaling - My1080p is an exciting feature. The TV looks better with the Denon unit. Well worth the price.

👤I've been buying a receiver for over a decade. I didn't know about the new features on the units. It's not necessary to go with a more expensive unit unless your speakers need more power. It is easy to use the wireless technology from the iPhones. The Denon App allows the receiver to be completely hidden, with all features controlled from my phone. The sound from the newer smart TVs feeds right into the receiver and out to the surround, and only the one hdmi cable is required for this. There was no need for additional wires. Don't have any doubts about this unit, especially at the price point.

👤It was easy to setup the system. Everything I wanted, but I can't set it up. It's right there according to several emails. Don't look at it.

👤I was hesitant about buying a 75W receiver, but it's handled everything I've thrown at it. The sound quality is good. My Sony TV works great with eArc. Would definitely recommend.

👤I was surprised by how easy it was to set up. It even goes so far as telling you to strip wires, which is kind of dumb. I think we are not beginners at this point, I don't use blue tooth, but I put a star on it so I could hear better, which I thought was great. Does the sound of the speakers from Golden ear seem netter? Yes, to my ears. Behr.

3. Onkyo TX SR494 Receiver Ultra Dolby

Onkyo TX SR494 Receiver Ultra Dolby

160 watt per channel. 4K/60p and HLG are supported. 5.1.2-ch audio and video. The Virtual:X and the Height Virtualizer are from the same company. The AccuReflex and AccuEQ have subwoofers.

Brand: Onkyo

👤When the PS4 Pro is connected to the TV, the option for 4K RGB is disabled, as you can see in the picture, and the frequencies for HDR are not the max, but when the PS4 Pro is connected directly to the TV. Check the message that says to check the TV settings. If you are going to use it for games, get something else. When I try a game, I get a warning that the game will play at 2K, but I don't see it because the TV isn't the receiver.

👤I have a set up in my home theater that is awesome. 2 front speakers, 2 ceiling pivot speakers, 2 rear surround speakers, 1 center channel, and 1 subwoofer are all expected to be upgraded soon. I've seen a lot of people flaunt their 2 and 3 thousand dollar setup but this receiver does exactly what it is intended to do and I have been buying Onkyo products for years and have not been disappointed yet. It can drive my speakers without being loud, and it can reproduce the sound of the movies in Dolby Atmos. My only regret is that I didn't get a 7. A receiver. I wanted to add 2 more speakers to the theater seating area. Maybe upgrade later. This is a great buy for anyone who wants a good Atmos setup in their home.

👤I had a 13 year old boy. I thought it would be a great upgrade since it supports all of the new sound formats. I was very excited when I got this. The result was disappointing. The sound was flat. The voice was muffled. I re-ran the setup again and the same thing happened. The Audyssey used on my old Onkyo is called AccurEQ. There was a manual setting on my old Onkyo, but it was not possible on this new one. Each time I ran the setup, there was a different one. It has a lot of bells and whistles, but I didn't like the lack of sound quality. I ended up spending over 2x as much as I would have spent on a Yamaha, but I'm very happy with the speaker calibration and the various profiles it offer out of the box, and there's also a graphical manual EQ. I didn't like this receiver. I wasn't happy with the sound quality.

👤Unless you have a lot of devices, this is all you need. I replaced an older unit with this one. The older unit had all the inputs that were never put to use. This is perfect for 4 devices. The sound quality from this unit is perfect once you start using it. It's better than the best movie theaters. The sound quality of the audio is not as good as it could be. The sound is the same as you get from the high end Onkyo units, even though it has the same 32 bit sound processor. I only use it for the two gaming consoles. I don't play music in the house. If you are looking for a high quality home theater sound system that is only going to be used as a home theater system with 4 or 5 devices, this is it. If your TV can pass HD sound, you will be able to hook up 5, 6 or 7 devices to this, depending on your TV's inputs. It does work very well with 4K upscaling. The HDMI pass through works perfectly, but the features are not real. The problem is that the standard is too new and not standard, so there are device conflicts. This is a great unit for anyone who doesn't have a lot of audio devices. Who does now?

Brand: Marantz

👤This was upgraded to 4k 120 and 8k 60hz. I was surprised when I ran my RTX 3080 and it was all blackscreen. I ran via EArc and it ran fine. This is a false advertisement from Marantz. I have yet to try out the Xbox Series X or Ps5 but I'm pretty sure it won't work. I am hoping that Marantz will correct this. It's not clear what that would mean for a fix. Don't upgrade and wait for a fix.

👤I purchased this to replace a Pioneer Elite that sounded fine, but I wanted to use the XBox Series X to run my new 8k tv. It doesn't seem to be possible to play it on the XBox from any app, online, or in the UHD format. To get the max resolutions, I have to use the XBox to connect to the tv, and then use the arcs to connect to the audio. I'm not sure if Marantz will have an update to fix the issue. There may never be an update that can fix this issue because I read online more. I feel like this was a huge waste of money. I use all 4K rated 2.1 HDMI cables.

👤I replaced a 20 year old Panasonic home theatre receiver with this one and it was amazing. The clarity is amazing. You can control the app from anywhere. There are a lot of different connection options. I like the option of combining the outdoor speakers with the other channels when entertaining. I am happy with the sound and quality. A great receiver. I highly recommend this product.

👤The 7.2 Onkyo receiver it replaces is a noticeable improvement over this one. The sound is warmer than my old receiver, and it plays my music collection without the tinny harshness that accompanied Apple. The receiver produced a good stereo image with a deep soundstage and the high frequencies were still very clear. The old receiver had a few more watt per channel than the mythos speakers, but it seemed like Marantz was able to squeeze a little more richness out of my speakers. My biggest complaint is that it seems to confuse my TV when I try to use the e-ARC. My TV forgot the optical soundbar settings when I switched to the Marantz. I had to turn off e-ARC because it deprived me of the audio from the TV. Fortunately, Prime doesn't have a built-in Atmos feature, and my player has a separate HDMI port for audio. I had to knock off a star because it was frustrating.

👤I had to replace my pioneer elite receiver after 24 years because it was top of the line. Not like pioneers today. I talked to a few people and they chose the Marantz. The sound quality is far superior to the denon and pioneer elite models. It was not hard to set up. You will be very happy with the end results of this unit.

👤It is easy to set up. Several connections didn't work out of the box. Audio, visual, or both are the losing signals. I was hoping for killer sound and video when I bought Marantz. I was due for disappointment. I tested it on the day it came. Thank you for taking it back. It should have worked well and last a long time. I used other people to connect my home theater pieces when some of them were dead. It was quite frustrating when TV would simply lose its signal. This never happened with any of my previous receivers. The cheaper Denons are definitely made by the same people.

5. Wireless Bluetooth Home Audio Amplifier

Wireless Bluetooth Home Audio Amplifier

The peak power of the Pyle 5 Channel Hifi Audio Amplifier is 100 watt. You can enjoy crisp and high quality amplified audio with low distortion and acoustic accurate audio reproduction. Refer to the Technical Specification for User Manual for more information.

Brand: Pyle

👤I would have given this 5 stars, but the inputs gave a bad sound output. I had the same issue with a Chinese unit. I am using this as a media center and the TV/Android TV Box are my only sound sources, so it was an option. The sound is crystal clear. One unit had a remote volume that was down after 1.5 years, but it works fine and feels solid. The remotes are $36 a pop. I used a universal remote that I learned from. You can control the volume settings for surround, center, and main with the remote. You can control bass and treble. All my settings were retained when the system was reset. This is connected to a power strip that shuts everything off when the TV is turned off. I was a little nervous because of the other reviews. Not an issue for what I received. I'm assuming they addressed the issues with later versions or the reviewers received faulty units. I prefer a lower volume setting because I don't want my speakers or THUMP my subs to blast. The unit came with a lot of instructions. It has a low-intensity blue display and doesn't distract when watching movies. It's the perfect size to fit on top of my sub and has rubber feet. I didn't assume something this small could drive an unpowered sub because my powered sub works with the high-pass speaker wires. I am using satellite speakers and a dual cone center channel speaker. The power of this makes it loud for a home theatre system. I don't expect this to work with large stereo speakers, and would cause distortion if you tried to use it as a pre-amp. It's never a good idea to amplify a signal. I would have been angry if I didn't have the option to use the HDMI option. The only thing that the HDMI can do is audio pass-through, it is not a receiver. I have to buy an HDMI splitter as I can't use it to switch between audio sources since I only use HDMI. Both units have issues now. One connects when it wants to and the other doesn't. One unit has issues with HDMI sound, where you have to cycle the inputs when you first start your show, or when you pause your show, or both. Only one source is connected.

👤This product was perfect for the bedroom. If you don't do the homework, you will be disappointed if you buy a surround system with Boom-Box volume. The reviewer who helped me decide to purchase this product was the same one who helped me with my application. I have setup a 27 inch TV in my bedroom with a single HDMI input and a streaming stick. I wanted better sound in my bedroom than my TV could provide. The sound system in the entertainment room was supposed to be louder than the bedroom's. I had spare Bose speakers that I wanted to use for the bedroom TV setup. The amplifier fit my application perfectly. I wired using 16-gauge wire. The two Bose speakers were put into the amplifier, the Roku stick was put into one of the two HDMI inputs, and the other end of the cable was put into the TV. I connected an F-Type female plug wire antenna to the amplifier to use the built-in radio when I'm not watching TV. I have not used the AUX inputs yet. I have been using the above setup for a month and I am very pleased with it. When the volume-dial is set to mid-way, the amplifier can drive the Bose speakers with enough power. I can use the input mode on the stick to stream video. The Bose speakers have better sound quality than the TV speakers. There are no issues with voice not being synchronized. There is a The amplifier's remote control is very easy to use. The instructions are very clear about how to operate the system. The amplifier unit has all the controls on it, as well as the remote. I added a wire antenna to the amplifier to pick up the radio stations. The amplifier has a lot of memory. The amplifier has a feature that works well. I connected my laptop to the amplifier. The Bose speakers had a better sound than the laptop speakers. The connection to my phone was easy to make. The low-cost unit that the Pyle PFA540BT amplifier is built for has a small footprint. It is on my bedroom furniture. I have not configured my bedroom entertainment system for surround sound, but it provides the option of connecting up to five speakers and a sub-woofer. I am very happy with the purchase I made, I chose the correct product for my application.

6. Wireless Bluetooth Home Stereo Amplifier

Brand: Pyle

👤First of all, a mea culpa. I asked if there was a way to make the screen more legible after I received the product. The company offered to fix the problem in less than 24 hours. No need. The screen can be burned-in for up to 6 hours, so it can be seen from across the room. The unit itself has really impressed me. I've purchased at least a dozen stereo amplifier over the years, but I never bought one from the company because of the low prices of their equipment. My assumption was wrong. The little amplifier is amazing. I bought it to use as a preamplifier because it is for an outdoor stereo that is kept in a water-tight case inside a gazebo. Despite the case, I decided it was a waste of money to keep buying expensive components and went through several over the last two years. I gave in and spent $116 instead of the minimum $300-$400 on the Pyle PDA9HBU.5. I'm happy I did. The thing is built like a tank, heavy with quiet electronics and powerful sound. I am not using the power amplifier portion of the device, just the preamplifier, so I can't vouch for it's stand-alone sound, but sending its signals through a Sony stereo amplifier produces wonderful audio, as good as any combination of consumer components. I have used before. It has both an SD card and ausb inputs. I worry about the quality of the readers that I use to record my music outdoors. The entire user interface is built and designed solidly, and they are rich with features. The only compressions the unit can play are mp3 and WAV, so the SD/USB is perfect for me, with five different kinds of repeat. The unit can find and play music in the folders and subfolders. I found the radio and receiver to be of the highest quality. I have no idea how reliable this unit will be over time, as it is still new. It's one of the best bargains I've ever found in audio electronics.

👤I bought this for my garage as I spend a lot of time out there with my hobby. There are lots of inputs for other devices, including optical digital, as well as inputs for line input and record player. I was able to play the DVD through the stereo as well as through the HDMI input at the same time it played through the HDMI out. Not sure where to start. The documentation was hard to understand. Some of the buttons were on the back. They weren't explained in a way that I understood. I needed to order a special adaptor for the antenna as it uses an overseas connection that is incompatible with the 75 ohm F connection we use in the USA. The radio was useless. The television antenna is amplified. The rest of the radios at home reception is great. I couldn't pick up the local stations. It's unacceptable that an radio can't directly tune the radio. The stations were only accessed by a channel number. I hid the buttons on the back of the AM/FM HD tuner when I brought it in from the media room, but I finally figured out how to use it. An exact model of the FM HD tuner was bought on eBay. Again, the FM worked well. The media was downloaded and given a number without considering the structure of the media. It's useless to locate or play anything on the media. The DVD player I bought had ausb port. input The menu was printed for me so I could see it. This works great if you need an amplifier. The media was useless and you will need to buy a DVD to enjoy it.

7. Sony STR DH790 7 2 Ch Receiver Vision

Sony STR DH790 7 2 Ch Receiver Vision

The smarter connected. You can use your phone to turn on the receiver. The receiver is 5 feet tall to fit into most cabinets.

Brand: Sony

👤I would recommend this receiver to anyone that is looking for an entry level receiver for a basic setup. There are a few quirks that you should know about before buying. 1. There isn't support for HDMI. This might not matter to most people, but it should be mentioned. If you don't know what CEC is, it allows devices connected to the receiver to turn the receiver off and on at the same time. The process of calibrating is terrible. I've tried different mics in different places, but they all sound terrible. It always sets the subs to the lowest setting and messes with the distances between the speakers. You will end up with a better sounding system if you just do all of that yourself. I'm using this receiver in a 5.1 setup. The setup sounds pretty darn good after I adjusted it. I have no issues with a 2016 4K Samsung TV and an Apple TV 4k.

👤I was surprised that there wasn't a feature for eARC. I realized my purchase was outdated after checking Sony's website. To upgrade to the latest version of the software. The eARC feature is provided by 1.171 for the STR-DH790. If you want to enable the feature on your PS4 you will need this software. The Sony site explains why you should care about eARC, and how the new eARC feature adds support for the latest audio formats. The eARC feature allows you to enjoy object audio content that cannot be transmitted with the ARC function. This doesn't support the CEC, according to someone in an earlier review. You may need to enable it on your TV to get it to work, for example the TCL 6 series requires you to enable it in the TV settings. It sounds great and it looks great. I updated to the new high speed Amazon cables and they passed through everything just fine. Older cables may not support the higher GBPS. I love that this supports both. The price is a great value. The user interface is a Cons. It sucks. Sorry. The on Amp Menu is very quirky to navigate and not very user friendly. The plug for calibrating the speakers was useless and gave me random errors on my speakers even though they worked well.

👤This unit is referred to as a 7.2 RECEIVER. It is not. They told me it was 7.1. There is a printed version of 7.2 in the sales material. There is a false advertisement.

👤Everything works without a problem. There is more than enough speaker for an indoor home application. The $1200 denon ffs are not worth it.

👤This is the first receiver I have ever bought. The cheapest 4k receiver that supports dolby atmos was this one. It's only $200. I don't need chromecast or anything in the $500 models because I am hooking this up to a computer. I have a set of 10 year old 5.1 pioneer speakers that I have from my old ps3 and xbox 360 audio rig. They were connected to the Sony receiver. What a difference a receiver makes. Those speakers sound better. I give it an A for sound quality. I don't like the fact that when I change it to radio, it will turn the output of the TV off and you have to go to the radio page. I connected it to my computer. I can't listen to the radio at the same time as I surf the net. I have a $200 sound card in my computer. The sound is better from the sound card. For playing games and listening to music, I'll use my sound card, but you need to use a hdmi cable. I picked this up instead of the logitech. It was very close to getting the logitech. I've been using it for over 10 hours and the heat it emits is barely noticable. I believe my breathe creates more heat than it does.

8. 5 2 Channel Hi Fi Bluetooth Stereo Amplifier

5 2 Channel Hi Fi Bluetooth Stereo Amplifier

There is a Canal. The home theater receiver from the Pyle is perfect for your system. It gives you 1000 watt peak power to be used for speakers and subs. The Bible has a Bluetooth-compartment. The professional integrated high powered stereo receiver is equipped with a wireless music streamer. It works with smart phones, iPad, and computers with hassle-free receiver pairs. The 4K Ultra HD TV support is included in the digital amplifier box. You can connect and stream audio/video from external devices. A digital display. The home theater surround sound receiver system has a built-in display. Features front panel control center and over current protection. Includes remote control.

Brand: Pyle

👤I don't like the bright blue light when the unit is on, but I hate it when you turn it off with the remote. Looks like the cops are outside your window. The only way to stop it is to push the "off" button on the unit. Who was the "bright" idea? I don't like the fact that you have to cycle through the menu to get to HDMI every time you turn it on, and it seems like it should remember where it was and go back to that. You have to go through several different options to get to HDMI and the desire TV picture, and then switch to a different sound option because it sounds like static on the HDMI. It's ok once it's on, but I wouldn't buy it again. I would never have bought this unit if I had seen it in a store.

👤If you really want a bright blue light that never goes off when you turn off the unit, then you should not buy this unit. When I inquired about the indicator on their website, they only said it was a backup. There was no solution offered. I wanted to save a few local stations for preset. There is no information in the manual or online. The online support person didn't know the answer to the fundamental question, so I was told to create a ticket to advanced support. I don't like returning items, but this one may be the last one. Terrible support. Very annoying.

👤The unit works well. The price is great. The remote doesn't seem to work beyond 10 feet if you want to change a setting. The blue light on the button could be turned off. The light was covered with white tape.

👤This review was good. I would have given it a great rating, but a few things weren't as I thought. The surround sound is not a real sound. It doesn't do digital. It doesn't support DTS. The blue ray player won't play the video with the sound on. The sound is similar to a card in bicycle spokes. If I turn off the surround on the TV and use an optical cable to connect my stuff to the TV, it will work. Quality sound can be heard to 5 channels. I paid less for this unit. A unit with all the neat stuff for surround sound would cost a lot. I would make sure my friend knew that the receiver doesn't do real surround sound.

👤It is easy to hook up components.

👤One speaker output was bad and would output static. Returned immediately for a new unit. Any output of 5.1 would only output static. We're outside of the 90 day window, so we won't refund or replace now. Terrible customer service. Avoid this at all costs.

👤I didn't buy this receiver thinking I would get something great. I needed a budget receiver for the guest house. The build is fairly solid, but the sound quality is okay, the display is dim, and the blue power light is too bright. I returned the first one because I thought they were defects, but the replacement one does the same things.

👤All speakers have been updated, and I am a huge star wars fan, and Disney plus Silver screen will debut on their new shows in atmos, not to mention family movie nights, every friday pizza and movie night. I had the chance to screen the same clip over again in different sound modes on the ATMOS receiver, but it's dependent on the movie sound mixer and editor, if just straight dolby digital or 7.1 sounds, it will give you more. I did that with a KLH Platinum series and I ran 200ft of speaker wire to complete the project, but I wanted to make sure I did it right, so I kept an eye out for them. There was a learning curve involved and many hours of video on sound stagging, angling, ideal setting on placement and what room correction software would allow to speaker selection, to ATMOS vs DTS-X to 5.1 vs 7.1 vs 5.1.2 vs 5. I think so. Is it the best system you can buy for about $1200 in total or so including speakers and receiver, wire and mounts? Black is available at the Amazon.com store. I got these for $101 and could use another set of rear speakers, but I have to spend more on mounts as the Sony setup is pretty verstile on top of the front speakers wall and ceiling, so it becomes more of a wash. I found the best place for my room to be tilted down was in front of the main seating 8ft high, since my ceilings are carboard tile, and mounted on the front wall. Is there a second one, the one next to my loveseat, for the rumble effect? Sony SACS9 10-Inch Active... I added a front sub to make sure it was over kill, but I had already decided on the spot. 60 hertz for a bit more money than a 4k 120 hertz receiver, and HEOS which intergates internet radio in the mix from google to alexa, to air play 2, and its app that allows you to manually tweek. The Denon AVR-S760H is a 7.2-Channel Home.

👤This is a great receiver for anyone who wants a good quality receiver. The power is relatively low. It's ok for a basic 5.1 speaker setup, but it might be a bit lean in a 7.1 or 7.2 setup. A 4 cyl engine in a pickup truck is an example of a good analogy. The low power of the receiver deterred me from using it, so I can't speak to ease of use. Denon is a good receiver, but it is important to match your speaker setup with the right one.

👤The unit has been great so far. It's easy to set up. It's easy to change the setup, but I need to work on the connection.

👤Excellent sound and no problems to report. Can't go wrong here.

👤I upgraded my receiver for the next generation of consoles, and this thing definitely delivers. It's only giving 3 stars because it's crazy. Adding fans to your home theater equipment is something you should be prepared for. This thing is very hot. If this thing is tucked away, I recommend adding an alternative cooling solution because some of my equipment shuts itself off for thermal protection after installing this. Make sure it has proper air flow here.

👤The biggest negative is that you have to turn the receiver on and then turn the receiver off again. If you select the input on the remote, it turns the receiver on so you have to turn it off again. The life span of the product is going to be shortened. It would be nice if the input was still switched while the receiver was in sleep. The receiver is amazing. This is my first Denon receiver. It is easy to setup. The on-screen prompt on your TV walks you through each step, but it also walks you through how to connect the speakers, what to do with the wires, and so on. A microphone and stand are included in the full system calibration. The setup was easy. The sound quality is amazing. Great range and power. If you don't want to always have your receiver on to watch your various sources, pass through capabilities for HDMI is a must have. It breathed life back into my speakers. The quality of my receiver is very similar to that of my 15 year old one. 8K is amazing. You can control the device from your receiver remote with the help of the internet. It easily connects to iHeart. This system has everything I needed and more. Can't believe the price of this unit is more expensive than others. The internal radio sounds better. It's nice to have a touch on the remote on your phone, but it's clumsy to use at times, and it needs some work. Well done Denon! The remote is made with light plastic and has limited features. It would have been nice to have a higher end remote.

👤Amigos produto. The interface and controle remoto were precisam. Som sensacional.

👤timo custo. Inclui zona 2 Balanceamento automtico das caixas acsticas. com memorizao intuitiva, captao das rdios.

👤Sistema! O melhor? A qualidade de som dos sites is controlled by the headfone. A recuperar os mp3 com densidade.

👤No tienes un equipo de alta gama.

👤It is called excelente. A qualidade impressionante. A compra.

👤I never leave a bad review, but this receiver did not allow for the full experience of the game. If I plugged my TV into my XBOX One X, it would be capable of playing both video and gaming. The build quality is good, but the lack of AUX-in was disappointing. I picked up the Yamaha after returning the Sony. It's $50 cheaper, has tons of more features, and has an AUX-in feature that I've wanted for years, and it passes the tests of both Dolby Vision and HDR10 correctly. Pick up the Yamaha, you'll be happy you did.

👤I put together a simple 5.1 surround system in my small den based on a Yamaha amplifier that started to go a little weird - it would turn itself on and off, sometimes wouldn't allow volume control from a remote, and sometimes wouldn't have picture resolution dropped. The sound was pretty decent. I decided to swap out the amplifier for the Sony one. Wow, what a change! It was easy to set up and calibrate. The sound stage is very detailed. It makes my speakers sparkle with clarity and crispness. I'm not a snob and my ears can still see a huge improvement in movie watching at a cheaper price. You will like this amplifier.

👤Great inputs. Good power. 60hz pass through. The enhanced HDMI option can be enabled. Arc control. I like it. The surround left channel is dead. The receiver died not even two years after the event. I'm disappointed, and that's coming from a Sony fan. My last receiver was from Sony. This was brought down from 5 stars to 2 by me. I think I'm buying a Denon.

👤I have an old entertainment system with a center and surround set that I use this unit to drive. The unit sounds good even with questionable speakers. I listen to my music on my phone. I use it. I know that makes many people cringe. I used the automatic calibration to set this up. Mozart's 25th was put on by selected music surround. My wife could hear how much better this setup was. Everything was in balance. It had a rich sound and clear highs. The surround did not sound fake. It was like sitting in an orchestra pit. It sounded great to have DVDs and cable TV. I can't hear the voices. The Movie HD-Digit setting is clear and easy to understand. There is a night mode that makes it easier to understand voices. The unit works great out of the box. It is powerful enough for a small home office, and I have it set up there. If you want to annoy the neighbors, you might need a bigger unit. I am very pleased with this purchase, and I love it.

👤Sony got it right. The receiver has 4K and HDR pass-through. The inputs are 2.2 compliant. It is easy to set up. The power is at 145W per channel. It will expand to 5.1 soon if you hook it up to a couple BIC tower speakers and a Dayton Subwoofer. There is no rush because the Front Surround feature really makes 2.1 sound like real surround. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase because it's heavy and built like a tank so it should last. The seller was praised for ordering on Monday and being delivered on Wednesday.
