A sleek, rounded all-black finish with easy-to- clean textured surface is ideal for small-med rooms. The Virtual:X is from the popular film, DTS Virtual:X. Sound enhancement for room-filling, floor-to-ceiling sound. Two full-range speakers in the sound bar provide brilliant clarity and sound. Natural Frequency Response means you can hear what the artist intended. 95dB Loudness is a sound that is room-shaking.
👤I thought I would have to have a special cord for it, but it comes with the proper cords. It works perfectly with what it has and I just barely installed it on my tv before writing this review, the sound quality is good and it works right off the bat. I guess it's time to sit back and relax, have a snack, and watch a movie.
👤There are limitations for a very small and low profile soundbar, as there are no surrounds, no wireless sub, and the stereo effect is limited due to its narrow physical width. I am very pleased with the technology for what it is. The voices come across clearly, the simulation of 3D adds depth, the midrange is acceptable, and the ARC functions as you would expect with the TV turned on. There are only visible lights on the front that are not overly intrusive, one for power, and the others for volume. It is a huge improvement over anything installed on a mainstream television set, and its low profile and small size makes it easy to tuck under almost any TV even sitting on stands, although it won't be able to mimic an actual subwoofer. For those who don't have expectations that it can replace a true 5.1 system, I recommend it for its current discounted price.
👤I wanted to upgrade to a simple soundbar without spending an arm and a leg, after I bought a new 65" 4K tv. This is exactly what I was looking for and works well for the price. I had to figure out how to connect the sound bar to my remote. The instruction manual said that the remote could connect to the sound bar, but I couldn't get it to do it for me. The default connection of the remote was shut off. It can connect to the soundbar by shutting it off. We don't use the voice commands on the remote anyways. It might be an issue for some people.
👤It sounds great over optical. The volume equalizing mode and the remote were all good. It was fully featured. Also gets loud. I don't use that way. It can fill a room. I didn't dock it for that because I couldn't tell if it was from the tv or cord, but I would keep in mind for 3.5 as the manual actually wants. If you don't want to use the remote again, the buttons on the top of the unit will allow you to do that. The power cable was a little short for my set up, I believe all cables were 3ft. This thing was perfect features, build quality, and sound when it was competitively priced, and it was 50% off its msrp. It would run into stiff competition at that price. The price of the product makes a difference in how it is evaluated. The build quality and features would hold up even if sound quality was considered average.
👤I was not sure what to expect from the sound bar. I received it today. It sounded so good that I got it for my father. I ordered another one from Target, as Amazon was sold out in a day. I was amazed at how good this sounded, even though it didn't have the atmos built in. All around, rich full sounds. It is definitely recommended if it is on sale.
There is a wireless internet and a wireless internet enabled device. There are two rear wired speakers. It works with the assistant of the internet. There are optical and analog inputs. Includes optical and HDMI cables. The system has a Frequency Response between 50 and 20 kHz. The sound pressure level is 101dB. The system has a Frequency Response between 50 and 20 kHz. The sound pressure level is 101dB.
👤I read a lot of good reviews, but a few bad ones worried me that the unit eventually will not produce any sound at all. I decided to give this Vizio a try because it has what I am looking for. I had a sound tech tell me the best and I chose the Vizio 5.1 as my home theatre solution. It's important that you set it up correctly in order to get the biggest bang for your buck. 1. Put a wedge under the sound bar to tilt it towards ear level. 2. The speakers were spread apart, and they aimed almost 100%. It helps to keep the sound bar and satellite speakers from canceling each other out if it's sideways. I can't believe the sound I am getting out of this. The cinema sound is huge. The placement of the subs is important. It's worth the time to research and look at various expert instructions on how to find the sweet spot. I am enjoying a full cinema experience. I want it at any time. It also plays video games. I use my phone to play music. I recommend this product to anyone who is looking for something similar. Thank you for reading.
👤I have to tell the truth. I am a home theatre snob. Over the years, I have had some great systems that cost thousands of dollars. My movie sound is important to me. I read all the reviews and watched pro reviews. This little unit would not meet my high standards. Wrong! This thing is amazing for a sound bar system. You can read all the specifications. If you need a small system, buy it and not look back. An absolute bargain that exceeded my expectations.
👤I'm happy with the sound system. I think it's one of the best purchases I've made for my living room, because I have it connected to my TV. I own a custom built HTPC that I built myself, and this 5.1 is the best one for it, because I like to watch films at home. I like Vizio. You can find the speakers stand at Amazon.
👤I've had a soundbar for 4 months. It's been pretty good, except for some annoyances that may drive me to get a replacement at some point, but not yet. It's all new to me, and this is my first soundbar. The sound is quite good, but it turns off after an hour if there's no sound, like if a video is paused or muted. Eco-power is supposed to prevent this, but it has no effect. There is no update for this product, and there is no response to an email. It's living right now, so long as you don't mind keeping the TV remote handy to turn it back on if you need it. My cheap TV is great for bass and treble, but has terrible midrange, so I wanted to make dialogue louder with this soundbar. It's a common problem, and this soundbar resolves it well. The ability to adjust the balance and volume on individual speakers is something I like. The plugs for the surround speakers are large, so most surround speaker stands won't fit correctly. I hope to switch to a different cable to enable speaker stands, but I don't know if that's the right cable or not. The Vizio smartcast app is pretty lackluster. It's not always possible to connect to the soundbar for viewing and editing settings. The settings in the SmartCast app don't match up to what the soundbar believes to be true. The included remote does a better job of viewing and changing settings, so I can still have some confidence in the setup. It's sad that casting music to the soundbar via play music doesn't involve the speakers. I was hoping it would be a stereo replacement. I might regret the purchase if the eco power issue is not fixed. You can see what I mean if you search for eco power.
Dialogue enhancement setting for clear dialogue. 100 Db Of Room Filling Crystal Clear Sound With Less Than 1Percentage Total Harmonic Distortion is an audio quality that you can enjoy. The wireless subwoofer adds booming bass. There is a built-in wireless device that lets you use it. You can use a high quality power source to stream music from your mobile device. The included components are the power source and type. The corded electric is connected to the technology. The speaker type is product type. The package weighed in at 17299.67369914 lbs.
👤It is a great value, as it is priced for a refurbished 2.1 unit. It sounds good, you have enough adjustments to make. It made a huge difference with my sound. It is a good speaker, it connects fast and streams my mp3s easily. I don't like 1. It is difficult to determine the settings when you go through the menu. The display uses a series of lights to let you know how you are adjusting the bass, treble, Sub, and EQ. The manual eventually gives you the hand. It is annoying. 2. I use the feet on the TV on the console. The sound bar can't fit under the TV and has to sit in front of it. It doesn't block the TV at all, but it looks clumsy and not as clean as I think it should be. 3. I couldn't get the optical cable to work. It simply did not work, so I am not sure if it is the cable or the sound bar. The other cables worked well and the sound was good. 4. The remote isn't backlit. It is annoying that there are not a lot of buttons that are needed.
👤It comes with no instructions on the remote, but I have to use the digital cable at least once a week because the smart tv and the internet make it hard to connect.
👤The sound out of the box was great. It was also easy to use. I recommend reading the instructions first since there is no display on the bar that tells you what is going on.
👤This is my second purchase of the same item. The first was for the living room and it was easy to install. The second is for my bedroom and it gives the audiofile a pleasant mid range and bass that's not over running any other sounds, but blends perfectly. I might purchase a third set of the same for another bedroom in the future. The sound is great for a reasonable price.
👤Most highly rated for the money would buy again because of the great price and soundbar.
👤I hardly go to my basement now that it's there. It was used maybe 3 or 4 times. It won't turn on and it's past 90 days. I'm stuck with a soundbar that doesn't work and a sub that's useless. It's a waste of money.
👤The sound system is great. It's the best value for money.
👤Is not as loud as others.
Low-Profile Design with 6 Full-range Speakers. Powerful 5" Wireless Subwoofer. The speakers have Discreet Volume. It was designed for 4K TVs with audio and video. Audio cables and a TV remote are included for easy setup.
👤I had been watching the previous soundbars. They are cheaper than the top of the line products. The smaller version would be on sale for $300. There was a very favorable review for this unit on the internet. The refurbished unit was only $175. I ordered it and it was good. It was very easy to set it up. The sound is very clean and loud. I own an 8 inch B&W, a 10 inch ELAC and a 10 inch SVS. I'm used to deep bass. The Yamaha soundbar that I replaced was slightly taller than the other Vizio soundbars I own. There is a feature where a smart speaker can be connected to a separate line. When the smart speaker wants to speak, the soundbard will reduce the main source volume and then bring the volume back afterwards. It worked. It accepts an Atmos bitstream. The surround is good. The remote is backlit. My TV has the ARC feature. The features and value are very good. These are all minor. There is very little air and image in the front of the soundbar. There's still a lack of focus despite the help of the virtual surround and virtual surround. It sounds different. I couldn't find any height. My main system is hyper focused and it is obvious. The remote is difficult to use. It's not terrible, but you will need to make a quick adjustment in the dark. There is no internet or wi-fi. The Vizio display is crappy. Since there are so many refurbished units out there, Vizio makes good soundbars. None of the ones I've purchased have failed and the ones I've bought are not as good as they could be. The typical Vizio is inferior to most soundbars. Highly recommended.
👤I decided to try it out. It is not an Amazon open box, but a third party seller. I was made to contact them by Amazon. The sound bar won't work from the input. Both the sub and the sub-bassoon will not pair. I am not sure if that will work. It won't pair with my phone via blue tooth. I will have to fight with the seller to get a replacement or money back.
👤I have too many speakers for one life time. I was trying to go "modern" with this and it blew me away. I have a small office, but it's great for the price. The harmon kardon can't touch this model. It was super impressed.
👤Just what I needed. Movie theater status and music are not the same. I maxed out the volume on the rear speakers and turned the dialog and bass up as well. You will be amazed by TV speakers. It definitely sounds like a movie theater with less bass if you mount your speakers behind you. This is a nice setup for a small room. The cons are that it's not compatible with Amazon's voice assistant: I'm not going to be upset, but it's a problem with the alexa. I think it's a problem with the speaker and not the device. I switched it to the Aux and everything went well. Losing a star is not worth it. Some reviewers haven't realized they can use the remote control to tune their system. I think I like it after 2 or 3 weeks.
The New Modern Design all-in-1 design has performance and slides beneath the TV for a clean look. A speaker design with separate speakers creates richer, clearer sound. The best audio performance from your 4K HDR content with Dolby Audio can be found when connected through the HDMI cable. Loud and clear sound is delivered by the 98dB sound pressure level and 50Hz to 20KHz frequencies. The Virtual:X is from the studio. Enhances any content with room-filling, floor-to-ceiling 3D sound.
👤I own a TV. I bought a sound bar from Vizio for easy compatibility. Not! The lip sync delay was terrible. I couldn't get the optical connection to work. I set the tv digital out to the pcm. This is a common complaint for the vizio sound bars. I tried everything but nothing worked. The sound bar has an adjustment for lip sync. I discarded the box. I would have returned it.
👤This is the first time I've used this with my laptop and it's loud, but it works well with a sleeping roommate. The box was damaged when it arrived, but it was common for packages I get to travel 7000 miles. The box was perfect as well as the product. When I get back to the states, my current desk will be bigger. The bass is not as good as a stand alone sub but it is still acceptable. The sound of a stereo speaker makes a big difference in how I listen to music. The speaker is very loud and loud than I will ever need. I have only found one problem with the speaker so far and that when you turn up the speaker volume on the bar itself and listen to audio there is a static sound but I have only heard that once and haven't heard it since. I decided to try to fix it. If you're using this with a laptop, you will probably have two options to choose from, one of which is the one from Vizio, it has little to no delay. When I hit play on a video on the internet, I get sound instantly rather than 10 seconds later, because of the boost in quality. I feel bad for the price, since I will never be able to see its full potential, but I use it for music and videos, and it does that well.
👤I got this for our bedroom because I wanted a sound with bass without a dedicated sub. This package sounds great. You will be surprised at the bass you get with it, even if you don't expect a booming bass like you would get from a sound bar with a dedicated powered sub. A small package has a good sound profile. It was definitely worth the money.
👤This thing is perfect for people who don't want a real surround sound, but still want a loud sound. It was a perfect gift for my parents.
👤It's easy to set up for anyone. There are a few steps to complete once you hook up the cables and affix the soundbar. It is all in the directions. I connect the two cables. The search for input defers to the cable. The correct way to use a home theater system is to use a soundbar and TV speakers, not in addition to them. I learned that I needed to use the soundbar remote to program my other remotes, as well as use the mute buttons. If you follow the instructions, it's pretty easy. It's perfect for making your TV sound like a home theater sound, without being overpowering.
A sleek, rounded all-black finish with easy-to- clean textured surface is ideal for small-med rooms. The Virtual:X is from the popular film, DTS Virtual:X. Sound enhancement for room-filling, floor-to-ceiling sound. 2.1-Channel Sound is ideal for movies, music, and gaming. Two full-range speakers in the sound bar provide brilliant clarity and sound. You can hear what the artist intended with the 50Hz to 20kHz Frequency Response.
👤I was worried that the subwoofer would be too large for the space I was putting it in, but I was able to turn it off. That's good. I was going to have to build a riser to allow line of sight remote control access to both the sound bar and my other components without obscuring the TV. It was unnecessary to hook up the bar using HDMI. I put the bar behind the TV so that I could get all the control and sound quality that I wanted. I have great sound in the room and full control over sound balance and quality.
👤I'm glad I chose this one because I did a lot of research. Excellent sound quality. It can get loud. 95 decibels is loud enough for a small to medium size room. The price, features, and compact size make it an outstanding value. Subwoofer is small but powerful. You can change the sound of the bass, treble, and subs when listening to TV, movies, or music. The remote is easy to use. There is nothing to complain about with this one.
👤I heard the James Bond theme play when I first turned on the system and I knew it was a good one. The sub was full and boomy, and the sound filled the room very well. Coming from a small bar and sub. The sound bar and sub look and feel great. Very classy and solid. Music sounds great through it. It was nice and full. I would definitely recommend this.
👤The sound bar is for my computer build. I wanted a speaker system that would allow decoding. Due to my computer being 28 inches in length, I was looking for a sound bar no longer than 28 inches. This was a perfect match. Excellent sound quality. I was skeptical about buying a sound bar that only has two speakers, as opposed to the three channel setup. I watched the movie "iRobot" in high definition. The dialog was crisp, and it appeared to be coming from the center of the sound bar. If you will, consider it a "Phantom" center channel. The loud segments did not drown out the dialog. I was hooked. I have to increase the volume on my center channel speaker because of the issue compared to my 7.1 surround system. It appears to cut out at low volume levels. The problem has been reviewed via the internet and it has given me a few ideas to fix it. The first step is Pairing, the second is Interference, and the third is finding out if there is a firmware update. When looking for an update, Vizio asks for the serial number instead of asking for the model number. This is not something that you want to do. I don't understand the logic behind it. The model number is the same for most companies. I don't experience any issues with connecting to my phone with either optical or HDMI. Music, movie, and dialog are sound equalization preset. The sound bar will talk to you as you change settings. The "Voice Assist" feature is also available.
Voice Assistant Input: Use their voice to control your devices through the sound bar with a dedicated 3.5 aux or persistent Bluetooth connection. The VIZIO 5.1 surround sound system and upward-firing speakers deliver an audio experience that moves around you, even from above. You are transported from the ordinary into the extraordinary with breathtaking, moving audio that fills your room and flows above and around you. A cinema-like audio experience can be found in your own home with a rear surround sound system and two upward-firing speakers. A beautifully designed wireless subwoofer will amplify the sound of the bass. Stream music, podcasts and more from popular Chromecast-enabled apps.
👤I will not bury the lead in this review. This system is amazing. I only had one experience with a Vizio soundbar at a friend's house a few years ago, and I wasn't expecting the same quality from this one. He has a wireless sub that he uses to amplify his sound but it didn't sound great. I decided to take a chance after reading reviews. I am so happy I did. If you have a newer TV, this system will work for you. I have a 55” Vizio 4K E series TV, so I knew I wouldn't have any problems with it. I unboxed my setup after buying some Sanus speaker stands. You don't really need to read the manual to set up the system if you're mildly knowledgeable in tech. The system is easy to understand. I plugged the HDMI cable to the top input on the soundbar to make sure there was no loss of wireless signal, but the instruction manual says that the top input is the ARC connection. The satellite speakers have a blue and gray color code to help you figure out which speaker is which, so you can plug one end of the RCAs into the wireless subwoofer and use the corresponding colored input into the satellite speakers. It is factory matched with your soundbar, so there is nothing you have to do in order to get it going, and you are good to go. I don't know about other reviewers, but my sub is on the right side of my TV, and my surround speakers are on the left side of the TV. I thought the long cables would be a problem for me, as I have a living room setup. They are about 28 feet long. The sound of this thing is amazing. I don't know what other reviewers are saying about the low tones out of the sub, mine puts out perfect low tones. I already have the smartcast app on my phone with my TV and after a bit of trial and error, I was able to set up my soundbar by changing it on my app and I was able to take control of calibrating it there too. I set my TV audio to auto detect the signal from the soundbar so that it will decode it and direct the sound to each channel. I have my surround speakers, bass, and subwoofer levels all at 2 and everything else is at 0. It is perfect! The only thing I don't mess with is the one that tells you what sound is coming out. The green and white colors indicated the same thing. The Sony PS4 does not have a sound system like the Dolby Atmos one. Some people on various threads claim they have gotten it to work, but I think that was on previous versions because I decided to buy a brand new Rocketfish 4K HDMI cable that supports HDR, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X on the audio side. I have a sound setting on my system that is called "Dolby", and I have tried to make sure that the sound setting is "bitstream" on the options while playing the discs. Even though it's coming out as Dolby Digital, the soundbar upconverts the sound into a different type of sound, called Dolby Atmos. I have a large library of titles in both sound formats and the one that I took for a test drive was an old Buddy Rich DVD. There are two options for this disc. I was blown away by the sound of the DTS sound. You are standing in front of Buddy as he plays his kit. The band is playing from the left, center, and right channels, and it blends in perfectly, because his cymbals are to your left and right. It feels like you are in the middle of the room. I switched the soundtrack during one of the songs to see the difference, and the sound of the soundbar was coming out of the speakers. Sometimes it works like that, where things are better in the other way. This was one of them. I was blown away by the sound setting being default to music instead of direct, and the fact that I was able to play music from my Play Music library directly onto the soundbar. A year and a half ago, I recorded a live album with my band. Hearing the music on this thing was amazing. The vocals were coming out of the center speakers, the crowd noise was coming out of the surround speakers, and I was standing right in the middle of it all. The bass and guitar were distributed equally. The bass coming out of the sub was perfect. It was a great music mix decoder made by Vizio. I checked the sound coming out of direct and it was flat, so having the system decode and distribute the sound itself makes a world of difference. Ready Player One was played on VUDU in true Dolby Atmos style. It is presented in 4K and Atmos sound. The first 17 minutes of the film are the real test of what this system can do. It sounds amazing! If you get a system on sale like I did, you will get a bubble of sound that is just what you want, and I paid less than half of the system's price. I am a Bose guy as I have a companion 5 set for my laptop, IE2 for earbuds, and a Sounddock for my OG 30-pin iPod touch, but after this I am quickly becoming a Vizio guy. I think I am set for life now that I have a Soundbar and a second Vizio TV. The only thing I need to do now is for Sony to update their device so that it can decode the sound modes of the movies, or I can just get a 4K player that does that. If you are on the fence about buying this, jump off of it and buy it. It is worth every penny. Keep up the great work, Vizio! You have a customer for life in me.
Bring out the best audio performance from your 4K HDR content when connected through HDMI. Loud and clear: The 96dB sound pressure level and 50Hz to 20kHz range deliver accurate Sound. The Virtual:X is from the studio. Enhances any content with room-filling, floor-to-ceiling 3D sound. Place the wireless sub in the room to amplify the sound. Voice Assistant Input: Use their voice to control your devices through the sound bar with a dedicated 3.5 aux or persistent Bluetooth connection.
👤The replacement sent by Vizio works as advertised. I need it for my modest living room. I wanted my star rating to reflect. I was told to purchase ausb stick to update the firmware, but it did nothing. I was told it was a fix. I have little confidence that the replacement will work, so I will have to ship it back. It's a good idea to avoid Vizio at all costs. Shame on Amazon for selling a bad item.
👤The product I was ordered to pair with was better than I could have asked for. The Vizio came in great shape and sounded like a theater. The level of clear audio output even at full volume, no distortion or buzz, and his in quiet parts of movies and tv is shocking. I can see the insulated glass windows bow when bass hits and I am shocked at how it rattles the hard wood floor. If you live in town, your neighbors will hear it when the house is closed up. 30' to next house for reference when neighbors asked what system I was running.
👤Excellent compatibility with existing remotes is provided by this 2.1 soundbard. It's a good value but no longer. The product I returned was faulty and the seller has yet to give me a refund more than 2 weeks after I received it. I didn't think I'd be one of the reviewers who changed their review due to the service. I am here. I want my money back.
👤Unit arrived on time. I knew that Amazon had a friendly return policy. I called the help line and got help setting it up. I have never had to turn my screen down before. When I turn on the sound bar, the subs pair automatically. If I could, I would give it 6 stars. I put the money I saved into an extended warranty because I want to keep working for a long time. I use it every day for a few hours since I set it up. I will upgrade the review if there are any problems.
👤It doesn't remember sound settings. If you switch from one sound setting to another, it will apply to the other. There are two more The sound is not deep or full. I've heard older Vizio soundbars that sounded better. This one is disappointing. There are 3 more Even though the soundbar has a dynamic volume adjustment, it still cuts out all sound during quiet portions of shows, especially quiet dialog with gaps in between. This makes it sound like the sound is being cut in and out. I was expecting the TV and soundbar to work well together, but they are not. Looks OK. It feels sturdy. It was easy to setup.
👤I only need one remote after I adjusted the settings to my liking, it was easy to set up. Is this not a top of the line sound system? This system is a huge upgrade from listening and watching movies through the TV, using the Optical cable is the best sound quality, if you use the HDMI ARC. The sound quality when listening to music on my phone is amazing.
The sound pressure is 100 decibels.
👤I bought this for 200 less than new. The box looked like it had never been opened and every accessory factory sealed. I downloaded the app but it was not the best. It's functional but not always. The sound is okay. Take some time to adjust the sound settings in your room. It sounds amazing and the movie theater is good after I got that dialed in. I turned the bass on the sound bar down a bit and up a bit on the surround speakers and it sounds great! The output of the subs is impressive. It sounds better than I was expecting and I can feel it vibrating throughout my sectional. I would recommend this speaker system to anyone looking for a great sounding system.
👤I bought this system in December of 2020. It was having issues with the internet by the beginning of the month. Since it was still under the return window, I contacted Vizio for a warranty replacement. I was going to contact Amazon if that didn't work out. I got the replacement from Vizio. I decided to keep the system after the return window closed. I regret that decision. The small speakers connected to the subwoofer stopped working a few days ago. I went ahead and started working. I tested it with different power cords and different outlets, but the sub wouldn't power on. I inquired about possible repair options. They were very kind and tried to help, but they told me that the re-certified warranty had expired and there was nothing they could do. I asked if they were aware of any repair options. They recommended that they just replace their products. I could look around. I own a non working soundbar system which I only have to use for 6 months. It is not worth it. It seems like a good purchase at the time, but it's now worthless and a money pit.
👤I bought this as an entry into the program. I don't regret it at all. The sound is clear. I use my TVs ARC connection to connect to Atmos. The Subwoofer is very powerful. The room is 18x30ft and the speaker is on -2 and still seems a bit too loud. The overhead sound really shines when you see the right scenes in a movie. The combination of the remote and Smartcast app is a downfall. The remote is basic and only has a small screen to show you what you are doing. If I could only connect the app would be more useful. It only connects once a few times. The app hasn't changed since I last used it. It's a great bang for the buck. Well worth the money.
👤The sound quality is amazing. The setup is easy and the audio is clear. Check out some demos on the internet to see what this setup can do. You will need a recent TV with HDMI 2.0 and a sound card. It is possible to use HDMI passthrough with the PS5 and the Xbox Series X but only at 60 frames per second.
A new low-profile design that slides beneath your TV is packed with performance. The sound bar has 2 full-range speakers. Bring out the best audio performance from your 4K HDR content with the help of Dolby Audio. Loud and clear sound is delivered by the 96dB sound pressure level. The Virtual:X is from the studio. Enhances any content with room-filling, floor-to-ceiling 3D sound. The Virtual:X is from the studio. Enhances any content with room-filling, floor-to-ceiling 3D sound.
👤When taking the unit out of the box, please be careful. The speaker cone is located on the bottom of the sub-woofer. If you grab it from the bottom, you can do a lot of damage. I found the Sound Bar to have a good sound. It took me a while to reach this state. Like most men, I know everything, but I was disappointed in the sound because I plugged in the sound bar and skipped through the instructions. There are a few things that you can do to make it easier. If you're doing a horizontal installation in front of the TV at ear level, the sound button should be on top of the bar, and the small lights that show volume level should be on the left. The speakers are facing you. I had a hard time finding the audio settings on my TV to turn off the internal speakers and use the external speakers. I thought I would turn the TV speakers volume down to zero and it would be the same thing. Wrong. You have to turn on the external speakers and turn off the internal speakers for the sound bar to work. No matter which sound bar you order, the remote is absolutely necessary. You have to use the "previous" and "next" buttons to adjust the settings in the instruction manual. I assumed the volume up and down buttons would adjust the settings. Wrong. The manual doesn't clarify when to use the buttons or what they actually do, but there are buttons to enable TruVolume and TruSurround HD. Try both settings and see if you notice a difference. I found the bass to be excellent despite some complaints. I wonder if these users had the correct location for the sub-woofer, and if they could raise the level using the remote, if the sub-woofer stopped working, and if they needed to be re-linked. The instructions could have been better, but I was able to get the sub-woofer working in a few minutes. The sub-woofer is located in the right area and adjusted with the remote, so you should be very happy with the results. Why only 4 stars for this product? The ergonomics of the remote are very bad, and the instruction manual could have been more informative about the settings. The volume adjustment on this remote is usually an up and down switch, but not on this one. The technical designer of this remote decided to put a big square button between the volume adjustment buttons. The worst remote I've ever had is the one that adjusts the volume by feel. The sound quality of this sound bar should be very good once set up.
👤The upstairs TV is rarely used. I thought I would give it a try because it was cheap and had good reviews. I tried it out and was impressed by the sound quality. So much bass! I took it downstairs to replace my bigger, more expensive soundbar in the family room after unhooking it. The bass tends to drown out the highs. To get a nice balance, I had to put the bass at 75%.
18 speakers perform in a home theater. The speakers rotation will improve your audio experience. The movies are: Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. There is a sound around and above. The speakers reflect sound off the ceiling. The sound pressure level and range deliver a life-like sound. The sound pressure level and range deliver a life-like sound.
👤After I called to inform them that their satellite speakers had crackling/popping issues when changing content, they told me that it was a "me problem" and that I should go bother some other tech support. They kept asking if it was a problem with their own product, instead of acknowledging the possibility that it was. There is nothing wrong with the satellite speakers and my new TV, even though I found this issue replicated online from other third party sources. I hit the same brick wall after replicating this one chat. I highly recommend you don't waste your money since Vizio is giving subpar support, even though this soundbar is retailing at one thousand dollars. Their "troubleshooting steps" were to be turned off. It's all over. Not even joking! The support documentation hasn't been updated in a year, and they kept telling me to use the included remote instead of the menu option.
👤VIZIO support says you just have to wait a short time for the internet to turn off. The media console area has a lot of other connections, and the network it broadcasts is interfering with them. I spent weeks trying to figure out why my devices were having trouble connecting to the internet before I realized what was happening. There is no way to turn it off. If your neighbors don't like your volume, they just need to download the smartcast vizio app, connect to your soundbar's completely secure wi-fi network, and turn down the volume for you. If they don't like how much you have, turn off the bass. If you connect your soundbar to your home internet, it will give you internet access to any devices that connect to the internet. I will attempt to return this product. It's too late now.
👤I was able to turn off the audible voice that was calling out which input selection you were making each time you changed it. Pressing and holding down the mute button on the remote disabling the audible voice and turning off the small power light on the soundbar is a good way to do this. So far, so good. I downsized my home entertainment setup to reduce the amount of stuff in the media center. We used to have a pieced together 3.1 AV setup, 1 Bose center channel, and a Yahama 10” sub powered by a newer Denon AVR. The central soundbar and wireless sub are designed to be very easy to use. We don't have enough room to run the rear satellite speakers that come with it, so we are just using the soundbar and sub. Everyone complains about the setup process. The setup I had was fine using the SmartCast app. The app doesn't explain what some of the sound settings do, that's the only complaint I have. The sound is very strong. The dialogue is better than Bose provided. If I were running the rear satellites, the mid level treble would probably get better. One thing to note is that the soundbar makes you more aware of how different movies and shows sound. Some shows have their levels subtly different and this soundbar will highlight that. Anything Atmos is amazing. The coverage of the outer sections of the soundbar is amazing. Everything could be mixed up. I have to adjust the sub to a safer level for most TV watching because it is so powerful. The machine has a ghost in it. The Apple TV is always the first input to watch when you turn the TV on, regardless of which input we use. The soundbar has a voice that will announce what input you are going to switch to. It is a nice feature. There is no way to turn the voice down. I am very happy with this purchase. The most important thing for me when watching a movie or show is the dialogue, and this thing delivers in every way for that metric. It feels a little flat, but the surround sound is great and the sub is really powerful. I am happy with this purchase. It worked well with my TV.
