👤I upgrade from a Polk model. The quality of the sound is great. This is the speaker for a small to medium room.
👤I bought this speaker to replace an inexpensive but adequate center speaker that developed a bad driver just 3 months after one of the front satellites failed in exactly the same way. It's a noticable improvement over its smaller and cheaper predecessor, because the bass response extends down beyond 80Hz, where the sub can take over. It doesn't sound as impressive as the Klipsch R-41M's that replaced the front satellites. The speaker is only 438 inches high and has rubber feet on it. It's never ideal to place the center speaker behind the television, but in my situation it couldn't be avoided, and the sound quality still doesn't change much, because the path to the drivers is mostly unimpeded.
👤I bought the Polk XT 35 to replace my old Polk speaker. I think the performance is about 10% better than the previous one. The speaker is a good performer and fairly priced. I don't like the fact that this unit has a Grey grill and all my other Polk speakers have a black grill. I like to keep the grill covers on my speakers, but they don't fit with my others. I don't understand why the XT series went to Grey. I deducted a star for the look.
👤This was a replacement for a cheaper Polk center speaker that my wife disliked because she thought it made the dialogue on the attached TV sound confusing. I see her point after I upgraded to the new Polk unit. The dialogue is much simpler to understand and comprehend than it is to hear. The center speaker on my 5.1.2 home theater setup is by Polk, and it works great with the other components. I use it as much for music as for watching TV, and the sound is clear and crisp. It is definitely recommended if it is on sale.
👤Double check your measurements because this is a big speaker. The TV was on the stand. The audio quality is great for TV and music. I'm happy with it. My single Bose cube has been upgraded to a Bose center channel cube.
👤I returned it because it is the same quality as the Polk S35 I have. The description of the speaker made me think it is better. I have a good one.
👤The speaker is great for watching movies.
👤The sound works as expected.
👤Lange ist die alten. Center Speaker ist bei uns an ersetzen. Mir ist die 275. Euro eigentlich. Ich ist die Speaker entschieden und war von der Klangqualitt.
👤Lieferung is immer schnelle. Gut verpackt und allem sinnig verpackt. 3x ist tatschlich, wie der alte Magnat und das merkt man sofort. Gute Musikwiedergabe und endlich in Fernsehen ist. The locker is 40m2 and is located in the Center.
👤I was getting a new center speaker. This product improved my experience.
👤The sounds are clear, but they take up the bottom of the TV.
The forms to the specifications. The spun- copper woofer is about 4 inches in diameter. The Tractrix Horn has a 90x90 square design. 100 watt power handling.
👤I use these as my left/right and rear surround sound speakers in my 7.1 system. I have been using a budget set of Polk for 10 years and wanted to upgrade. Wow! What a change! Don't get me wrong, the Polks sounded good, but now I feel like I'm in the big leagues. The range of these speakers is both night and day. They have excellent highs and a mid range. The highs sparkle during hard action movies. I upgraded my 15” Sony sub to a 12” Klipsch to support my front and center mains. The sound was great and I couldn't be happier. The quality of Klipsch is amazing. They are more expensive than a lot of the speakers, but you get what you pay for. You can spend the extra money on Klipsch. I posted a few pictures after someone inquired about using them as surrounds. They have a screw mount hole in the back. It was easy.
👤I was a little underwhelmed when I first connected them. I bought a pair of studio 60s in 2001. I had a hard time hearing what the speakers were supposed to do. I run through a receiver. The setup was not really impressed. The speaker section of the setup has a setting for "Dolby Enhanced Speaker". The distance from speaker to ceiling could be set. After adjusting this to my measurement, it opened up a whole new world of sound. I am very happy with this purchase, the movie Gravity sounds amazing, and the helicopter sound is now overhead. If your sound isn't to your liking, there may be an adjustment you're missing. They are worth every penny, and I waited for them to get back to the $300 mark.
👤Great add-on speakers! I added 2 pairs to build out my 9.2 Atmos setup. These things are large, so pay attention to the dimensions. The placement of the wiring clips was not good. The speaker connections may be ugly if you place them in a certain location. I mounted these on the ceiling and they were beautiful.
👤I used the surrounds left and right, but a foot down from the ceiling, as a reference for my 5.1 Klipsch system. I will be looking to get another pair of speakers when I decide to go with the Atmos setup.
👤Sound quality is good. The speakers are small for my taste. It's great to have speakers above and down towards the audience. It's a little spendy for what you get.
👤If you understand the tech behind it, you will be very good speakers. These are not to be used as back speakers or surround speakers. These are crossed over at 150hz for a reason. This will complete the package if you already own a Klipsch surround set. If your receiver is the bowl, the bananas are your speakers, and the ice cream is your sprinkles, then these are your extras. It gives life to the set. If you understand what they're made for, you can get them now. You just have to understand how it works. These were mounted on the wall, not the ceiling.
A home theater system has a sound bar and 6 surround speakers. One channel surround sound ready. Includes a user's guide and remote control. Satellite speakers are wall mountable and the sound bar is 60 feet away. You should complete your home theater experience. The included components are: remote control, 3.5mm to RCA audio cable, and 3RCA Stereo Audio Cables.
👤The home theater system has good sound, decent build quality, and is an okay size, but the speakers are too short. You might need to buy some speaker wire. Don't buy this if you have a TCL Rokue TV. I own this type of TV and the aux plug on the TV and the aux plug on the subs are different types. This won't be able to connect to the TV, but hasn't tried with a receiver for it. Next time you work for Amazon, make sure to inform on what kind of inputs and outputs there are.
👤I think it's great for the money. I like it. The TV remote is interfering. The home theater is shut off when I push the info button. I have to change the home theater selection back and forth when I channel up or down. The manufacturer told me that it was my problem because I didn't have a place to put the home theater unit. I don't get angry very easily, but by the time I hung up they had me so angry that I didn't want to speak to them.
👤I liked the deal so I decided to try it out in my art studio. It's not a large room, but with the speakers on full blast, you can still hear the ceiling fan, if that's saying anything. It will make do, but I would suggest saving the 80 bucks and going for a quality bar if you were going to do some real entertaining with a sound system.
👤It wouldn't connect to my tv.
👤They didn't have a remote or instructions. I had to watch it. One small speaker popped open as the wires began to fail. The base bar is probably the best part. All the speakers need to work at one. I'm not sure if the issue is because of refurbished or the brand. Not all of them are happy about this buy.
👤The sound is weak and not loud. The sub woofer does not have a lot of base. The rear speakers do not have a long enough cord. My system is front left, front left, front right, front left, front right, front left and more front right.
👤The TV speakers were better for me. The volume is so low that it doesn't have an optical output. I Live should change their name to iDied.
👤Out of ten times, remote only works one time. The speakers are working on something. It's hot and misses when something works.
200 watt power. The mini bookshelf speakers have a power handling of 200 watt peak. It is great for listening to music and watching movies. The video was saved. Video shielding is built to ensure optimum experience. They won't distort TV images, and won't cause permanent damage to the picture tube. The paper cone driver is 4” The speakers have a paper cone driver. It will make home theater stereo sound better. Home applications are available. The mini cube speakers have dimensions of 4.8''H x 4.8''W x 5.2''. It is the perfect size for home theater applications and can be placed anywhere. They have a full range speaker with a high quality sound and will suffice as a home surround system. They look stylish in black. The full range mini speaker system has a response time of 80 to 18 hertz. 8 Ohm impedance is great for home theater applications.
👤I bought the speakers to use with a radio. The tranceiver has two identical independent receivers. I wanted to be able to speak to each person. The speakers look good. I don't think the manufacture has a 200 W power rating. I don't think these speakers will work very well down to 50 Hz. They sound better than the radio's built in speaker. They can handle the 2.5 watt radio. The audio cut of the 7610 is around 150 Hz, so there is no problem. The speakers are flat on the bottom, but stick-on feet will fix that, and they cost less than a pair of matching ICOM speakers.
👤The speakers are odd. The sound from a 3 inch speaker was as expected. I will hear a small sound coming from the back after I turn them up a bit. The speaker terminals on the back were not sealed with a gasket but were sealed with plastic. After taking the speaker out of the housing, hot glue was dripped over the terminals to seal them. The clip on the back leaks air. I removed it completely and hot glueed it in as it wasn't needed for my purposes. The dust cap was partially removed on one of the speakers. I put some glue around it. Sounds pretty good after it's sealed up. They can get loud with no distortion. They can push a small amount of low-end if they are tuning right. They will throw a little more low-end than you would expect from a sealed 3 inch, but don't expect immersive bass. I think if you pair them with something more bass heavy that they will bring more clarity out. I have these with the Micca. I hate to admit it, but they sound really good on a desk. I gave these 5 stars because they are cheaper but with a little glue and time they sound good for $16.
👤The old Radio Shack mini bookshelf speakers were 50 bucks each and they were great. They were in a metal enclosure while these are plastic. These are awesome little speakers and I don't know how you were disappointed with the reviews. I use them with a 20 watt power amplifier from Amazon and they give a clean room filling sound. I have a setup that I use with my TV, mp3 player, and Chromebooks. The speaker is a great price. I would highly recommend them.
👤You're looking at a pair of speakers for a reason. You might have a small room. Maybe you have a smaller budget. Maybe you would like to try something out before committing to a large investment. Maybe this is a component that works with your current setup. You're reading the reviews because you have one question in your head, can a pair of $16 speakers possibly be any good? The answer is yes. The speakers perform well for the price. You can even remove the caveat for the price in some cases. I bought these to upgrade my home office. I didn't like listening to music through my computer speakers. I didn't need something that was going to blow me out the window for the small room. I already have two turntables and didn't want to invest in a third. The price tag and quick shipping sealed the deal for me. I upgraded my Pioneer receiver a few years ago and now have them connected to it. I added the center speaker because I wanted to. The speakers do most of the lifting. I was surprised by how loud they are. They hold their own, even though you wouldn't expect a lot of bass with them. These speakers performed better than my computer speakers when I listened to a lot of fuzzy riffs. Even if I upgrade my system, I can keep these. They're small and cheap to move to a garage or other exposed space. If you're like me, you have a box of old audio equipment that you can give to a niece or nephew, or use in your front yard for Halloween, because these speakers don't come with speaker wire. The cost, size, andVersatility mean you're not overcommitting yourself. I'm picky about audio quality, but I'm in a narrow space where I'm not an audio snob. These are the things that get the job done for me.
Bookshelf speakers drive power from your amplifier or receiver. The full range sound coverage with balanced and shielded woofers, titanium coated, and ferro fluid cooled shielded tweeter, has a Frequency response of 45 to 22 kHz with 89 decibels. There are CARB Compliant MDF wood cabinets, black ash wood grain veneer finish, spring loaded raw wire connectors, and an acoustically transparent grill. A big sound from a small speaker size. The power from your amplifier should be no more than 10 watt per channel, the raw speaker wire should be no more than 200 watt per channel, and the amplifier should be no more than 100 watt per channel. 2 Theater Solutions by Goldwood B1 speakers are in the box. Home theater surround sound, whole house audio systems, business or retail installations can be used. The 5-way binding post was used.
👤The Garrard speakers that I bought these to replace have served me well. The Garrards were large and hard to follow. These are not as bright but they are still smooth and have more bass. I was indecisive between the two speakers. It would be nice to compare them side by side, but these looked like a good buy. I was pleased after listening to them for a week. They are the ticket for computer speakers. I'll be happy if they last 20 years. They are serious at 100w RMS and 200w peak power handling capacity. The cabinets are heavy and seem to be quiet. I haven't opened them up yet. They'll show me what they're worth eventually, because they're hooked to a 40w RMS amplifier. I have been letting them break in. I'm writing this while listening to Led Zeppelin's Celebration day.
👤I use these as rear/side speakers in my 5.1 setup, and I find the tweeter to be more noticeable to the point you want to turn them. I thought they'd make great rear speakers because of their clear/loud highs and ability to handle lower frequencies. I set my sound card to 65hertz. Minimum 8ohm is required for my receiver. The RX-V990. I use the fronts and center of the Boston Celtics. A 25 is a pair. The speakers are great for desk setup with the DCD tech. I'll just copy this over into here, because it's about the advanced ceramic/glass fiber polymer woofers with Deep Channel Design (DCD). The combination of Boston Acoustics as fronts and B1's as surrounds is working well. Boston Acoustics: Sensitivity 89dB Theater Solutions B1 would not use as desk speakers. Near field/ close would not be used. There is a new word for it. The best seller for the B1 is OnlyFactoryDirect.
👤Don't buy these speakers. There are many better choices for money. I bought these because they're an exact copy of the N 24 Series I, which is worse than a copy. My N 24's have 2 bars across the tweeter instead of 1 and they copied the JBL one. It was purchased out of curiosity. Lots of port noise is the only bad thing about sound quality. Like a lot. Even when the bass is sent to a speaker. The port on the back chuffs on my receiver is terrible, even with the bass cut off at 120 HZ, because it's so loud. Plug the port tube if you cross it at 200 HZ. The sound quality is pretty good even though it only has a scuplture on the tweeter. The box is very well built and the cabinet finish is nice. The surround is made of foam. The dust caps are not straight. The port tube is just a pipe with no flares in it, and it's a shame. Plugging the port tube makes it sound bad because there isn't enough room inside the cabinet for it to be sealed. The real JBL plays quieter than the real Tweeter. When I get a receiver that supports a 200 HZ sub, I will listen to them again. I liked the way they sounded, except for the port noise. I have stacks of extra speakers because I like to listen to different kinds of music. I can't recommend these to a normal person. If you are a fan of the Northridge series and also a mod, they are worth a look. If the port tube was replaced with a better engineered one they would sound better.
1” (2.54 cm) The titanium compression driver is connected to the Tractrix Horn. There are dual 5.25” Cerametallic cone woofers. It's perfect for left, center or right channel use. Easily mounts vertically or horizontally. Horn-loaded technology increases acoustic output.
👤The speakers have a full range with crisp highs and rich lows. I already had conduit boxes attached to the studs so it was a bit of a pain to install them. The little tab 'grabbers' don't hold the wall well if they're not away from the studs. I had to fill in sheetrock where the existing holes were against the studs, so I had to do more than just cut a hole. I'll be installing 4 more of these for my next trick, they hold well, are solid, and I tried just 2 for the front L/R speakers in my media room. They are high quality speakers. Don't be afraid.
👤I bought a very good budget system at the store, and it's a Yamaha receiver. I'm using a wire. I bought on Amazon and I thought it was pretty good. It was recommended by Amazon. I hear popping noises when the volume increases in movies and music. This is indicative of a faulty setup according to everything I've read. I'm waiting for better quality speaker wire to arrive so I can see if it will fix it. I will update this review after I double check my setup. It's hard to say if this is a speaker, receiver or wiring issue. The popping has all but disappeared with the upgraded 12 gauge speaker wire and the Yamaha receiver. I still get a rare but occasional misfire, but I'm now able to rate 4 stars.
👤The 92db SNR on the speakers helps, so push it with an Onkyo TX-RZ820 which is 130W per channel. The theater has 2 x R3800W, 4 x R3650W, and the center channel is R5502W.
👤I highly recommend these speakers, but Klipsch has to send a two cent template with the speakers, so I have to change them. I spent over $300 for each speaker and you don't get a template. I went to the website and they don't have it, even though they have a booklet on the website. I wrote them and they said the template you should make is a cut out.
👤Amazon had a better price. The speakers were put with the Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-400C for the center, Klipsch Reference Premiere SPL-120 for the sub, and two Klipsch R-1800-C to have the sub be wireless. The sound is amazing.
👤I put them in the wall. It was a lot for me. I'm very happy with the sound quality. Very clear. There is a bedroom behind me and it's much louder than my old speakers.
👤I love this speaker. It stands up nicely as the center speaker, thanks to the Bose 891 wall speakers. I spent a lot of time researching this speaker and read a lot of reviews.
👤klipsch is simply perfect, thanks to Amazon for this great price. Get it before it's gone. I use them for the center, left and right. It works perfectly. You can't go wrong with klipsch.
Today's ultra-flat TV's are similar to the Slim on-wall solution. A reference to the premiere horn loaded acoustic technology. There are two mounting options: horizontal and vertical. A titanium dome linear travel Suspension (lts) has a tweeter. The painted finish blends nicely into the modern interiors.
👤It is always a premium for most families to have space. I needed something that took up less space in my living room, so I purchased an entry level set of Onkyo speakers. I wanted to get a speaker that would give superior sound and offer a smaller footprint for my cramped living room, so I took my TV off the large stand and mounted it to the wall. This was perfect for the bill. It was a no-brainer to buy these because Klipsch is a well respected brand on most home theater forums. The sound will become richer as time goes on, they were installed a few weeks ago. Even if the audio is mono, the number of speakers playing sound is increased from my old center channel speaker because I chose this speaker as my center speaker. I used left and right speakers.
👤In November of last year, I received the RP-640D, and a pair of RP-240Ds, to use as left/right speakers. I needed a very flat center channel to go behind a spandex projection screen, and so I used the 240s with it for consistency. This setup was not as good as my home theater, since I had recently moved. I had hoped that the Klipsch and its sisters would be an adequate substitute for my long-serving JBL center channel. I had enjoyed this set for six months, but I was reluctant. There was no sense of depth to them. I feel like they broke in last week. The break-in period was so long because I only use my speakers for a few hours a week. There is a Wow. They are a completely different experience now, with rich resonance, precise treble, and mid-range and lows. I feel like I'm in a theater. This effect can be achieved by spacing them far apart. The missing bass can definitely help with certain content. In my new home theater space, this fills the room just fine on its own as a very satisfying center channel, and its placement behind the screen makes for a compelling illusion of immersiveness. The speaker is a small, thin package. I wouldn't put it up against other higher-end offerings, but for the price and the small space it takes up, I find it incredibly rewarding.
👤I replaced my bose system with 2x2650 and marantz 5012 for this. Bye bye! Never again.
👤The box was mangled. I wrote to the seller, but got nothing back. The speaker cover was damaged when it was delivered, so I asked for another one. I get to set the speakers up and they sound like they've blown! I'm not happy with this purchase.
👤The kleinen Box was aus der recht. Ist das Preis bei wert.
👤Fast delivery and great sound for a small speaker.
Rockville Rock Slim 70B 70 Volt commercial speakers are in black. The transformer has 8 watt or 4 watt inputs. The wall mount brackets are easy to install. Natural sound reproduction with clear midst and bass can be achieved with a 5.25” woofer with paper cone. You can choose between 4 watt or 8 watt input terminals. The Mylar dome tweeter has pristine highs. The sensitivity is 89 decibels. The material in the cabinet is ABS. Black. Dust and damage can be protected with a shielded grill. Just as easy as hanging a picture on your wall. The speaker has a hanging brackets. It is easy to hide wires with the spring-loaded speaker wire terminals. Speaker wires can be run behind the speaker. The sleek design is perfect for a living room, bedroom, kitchen, restaurant, and more. Black. The product has a dimensions of 10.8" X 7.3" X 1.38". Product weight is 2 lbs. The speaker is per speaker. Speaker wire length is over 11 feet.
👤I didn't know what I was expecting from these speakers, but they did a good job. I got these as rear channels, but I don't think they will work for that.
👤The holes where you put the wire in are so small that they don't fit in the speakers. I would like to return them.
👤These are a good value and are discreet.
👤A set of 6. Rockville will not answer my emails after they smoked themselves within 4 months.
👤They produce very little sound. Took them apart. They do not have a magnet on the woffer. They are garbage to me. Can't hear them very well. The photos suggest that you won't like them for home audio. A large amount of money. Beware!
👤If I put my ear on it, they are audible. Total waste of money.
Polk is one of the most trusted names in home audio. You can relax and listen with your heart if you bring out the best in surround sound systems. The 3-way curfew is in place. This passive bookshelf speaker is composed of 5 speakers and is responsible for deducing the 20-20000Hz band. The high Frequency is bright but not harsh, the details are well processed, the middle Frequency highlights the human voice and restores the real voice of the singer, and the low Frequency is strong and powerful. There is aGENT CROSSOVER. In order to improve the quality of music, a high-end crossover is added to the product, so that 3 different audios of high, middle and low are sent to the corresponding speaker unit for interpretation. The wooden is handmade. The speaker used handcrafted wooden boxes to achieve the best sound quality. WALL-MOUNTABLE. Independent hooks on the back panel of the speakers allow you to hang them on the wall. A multi-sclerosis application. The speakers can be used in a variety of places. You can use passive speakers to play music with the MAMP1 amplifier.
👤I was a bit disappointed that they were muddy in the middle since they are 3-way speakers. I was glad I bought them during Prime Day because they were not bad to return. One of the other reviewers stated that they broke them in a bit and that my impression of these speakers has improved. They perform well for what I use them for, which is my home office. The speakers have a bit more middle definition, and using them has helped a bit. Their response was always middle range. Music with a real string bass is a good test. They need a lot of power to drive them, and at higher volumes they can get distorted. They should do the trick for a bookshelf system. The build quality is great, and even come with a wall hanger, so use appropriate hardware to keep it on the wall. They aren't huge and are built nicely. It's easy to take it off if you don't like it. They are getting bigger. They didn't have a good first impression, but it is getting better over time.
👤I thought they would sound good, but I didn't expect them to sound so good. The sound is crisp, the hi/mid radio has more bass than I expected, and it's not a problem with a sub. I've read a few reviews that say the speakers are not really 105 watt, because the sticker says 55 watt. The speaker's power is 55w per speaker and that adds up to over 100w for the set. smh... Do the research guys. These are worth more than you are paying. I have set them up to a MAMP1 and I feel like it's the best thing I've ever done for my record set up. Just get them!
👤Great looking and affordable. I'm picky about the sound quality of my vinyl records. The speakers fit nicely with the Spendor SP-1's. I had to change my setting because they are 6ohm.
👤The 3-way passive did not state Impedance, but reviews and photos showed 6 ohms. The box arrived with 4 ohms. The speaker tags were opened to check. Impedance specifications have changed. I couldn't use my current speaker and amplifier set-up. I can't speak to the sound quality. The description should include updated specifications. Returning for a refund. Is the other 2-way speakers 4 ohms?
👤I had to perform a major diagnostic after removing the speaker. The black wire to the CROSSOVER board was lost and I had to solder it back into place. I should have not had to do this. It was quicker than returning for a refund. I brought them because they reduced the price to $69 a pair. For the lower price they sound fine and will keep repairing them as long as I can. Honest guy, thank you.
👤The first time I received this product, I had to return it because there was something in one of the speakers. I could see it through the front port, and it looked like a piece of vinyl on the speaker. It was very strange. Amazon support was great and I had a replacement set in two days. Excellent customer service! The speakers were on sale for $68. A faulty unit was replaced by a new unit. The new set sounds good. It is a budget set of speakers. The Elac Bookshelf Passive Speaker is on sale for $68 and sounds better than before. The speakers don't sound great. It's kinda self-defeating to listen with these. If they're in the background, they sound good. The vocals get shouty at higher volumes. cymbals don't have the power they deserve. The Elac's have more bass presence than Bass. The speaker's image goes from okay to downright inaccurate. Most of the sound is centralized. The bass guitars are not very natural. Double bass will make the speakers sound bad. The bass is not tight or muddy. Somewhere in between. The driver of the mids does a good job. The product page shows a different driver than what you get. The product page has a bass woofer with a hemisphere in the middle. The mid driver looks cheaper in reality. The build quality of these speakers is cheap. They're light and there are some flaws that can be seen. There is a clear seam where the wrap was applied. Should you buy these speakers? Probably not. The Elac Bookshelfs are still on sale for $68. If the Sony speakers are less than $100, get them. If there is nothing else on sale, get the 2-way MouKey speakers. I'll be getting a replacement for the damaged ones I got, which were also $68 on sale. At first listen, they sounded a little better. If these are on sale, be careful that you get a damaged unit. They don't sound bad. Most people would be okay with a cheap set of bookshelf speakers. Might do fine as well as surround duty.
You can set up the sound system in minutes using the included cables and the Home app. The max power output of the wall mount Audio projection loudspeaker system is 300 watt, which is enough to play your favorite tracks as loud as you want. The speakers have 5.25” subs and high performance Mylar dome tweeters. The 300 watt speakers are compatible with wireless audio streaming. Works with all of the following: iPad, laptop, and PC. It's ideal for home studio, garage, enclosed patio or porch deck. 3.5mm aux and RCA connections. The speaker system has 3.5mm aux input jacks, so you can connect additional devices to your speaker system. The speakers have rear panel controls. Bass and treble adjustments are made. Additional features include a daisy chain ability and a unique power on the audio signal input.
👤I bought these for my backyard pergola to play music from my phone. I just installed them and tried them out, so I don't know if they will last, but here are some initial thoughts. It's easy to setup and link speakers. If you have a straight tip jewelers screwdriver, it is not hard to wire the two speakers together. The style of the passive speaker is more traditional. It is linked once wired together. 2. It is easy to install brackets. The brackets are thought out. You can hang the key slot cutouts with screws. The knobs to attach speakers to brackets are easy to use, but it is easier to remove brackets from speakers. 3. Sound quality is very good. It's not great, mind you. These are not the same as Bose, but they are not priced the same. These speakers sound nice. It's not clear why another reviewer said otherwise, unless his speaker wires crossed the same direction. Make sure your speaker wire has ribbed or line on it. You can make sure you have positive and negative vibes. 4. It's really good. I moved around with my phone in hand and didn't lose signal. The setup was easy. The speakers appeared on my phone after I had powered them on. Clicked connect and was good to go! There was an audible chirp over the speaker. 5. Not everything you need is provided. The speaker wire connection requires a jewelers screwdriver to open a slot to insert the wire, and then a close slot to close it. It was odd, and the only reason I see for not having traditional terminal posts like the other speaker is that it allows you to easily remove wires from a speaker mounted to a wall. There is no speaker wire. Not even a short one. They could have included a short, low budget wire to get you started. I don't have an audio reel on hand, so I'll probably have to make a run to Walmart for speaker wire, and that jewelers screwdriver, perhaps. 6. The instructions are not overly complicated, but they are a bit misleading. The setup reads as if the speaker wire is already on one of the speakers. It is not included at all. 7. The material quality is good. The speakers are not Bose equivalents, but for what you pay, it is pretty good. I did not take cover to inspect the materials. Hopefully they have chosen a nice cone that is resistant to water. If longevity is insufficient, I will change this review. The speaker is made of poly/plastic and wouldn't rust. It seems sturdy enough for what you pay. The speaker knobs are plastic, but have a brass insert and metal screw. The metal is coated. Sturdy enough, and designed to secure speakers in either horizontal or vertical position. There are 8. The sound can be adjusted in regards to bass, treble, and volume, but it's via knobs on the back of the speaker. I would have rated this 5 stars if there was an app that could make these sound adjustments so you don't have to reach in the small space between the back of the speaker and the wall to adjust it. That is my run down. Hope this helps. I have tried to give more details on what I think is positive and negative, but in the end, I am happy with the purchase.

👤The grill rattles and my speakers break down after a short period of use. I was very happy with how they looked and sounded after the initial installation, but there are definite issues with the 255c-RT. I had an annoying rattle during bassy parts of movies and music when I was listening to my Polk Vanishing services 7.1 surround system for six months. I thought it was pictures on the wall, or small items near my subwoofer, but after a while I realized it was the grilles that were making the rattling noises. The speaker covers are magnetic, but they are not strong enough to stay flush and securely, and they cause unwanted noise by vibrating. I discovered a second problem when I removed the centre cover to determine the root cause of the rattle. They had broken off at some point during the first six months of use and were sitting there waiting to fall out. I contacted Amazon and Polk who told me that the warranty was only for a year and that I would have to pay to have them fixed. It doesn't seem to be the manufacturer's problem that I only used them for six months, that the speakers disintegrated between 2 and 6 months of use, and that the only reason I discovered it was talking the grilles of to find the cause of the rattling issue. It would cost a lot to send them back to New Zealand. I am unlikely to buy another 255c-RT, so I may wait until the next problem. I am not happy. Polk won't send me a new speaker after buying so many. I have to use my speakers with the covers off, can see the faulty centre, and if you look closely around the speakers, they could be designed to not damage the walls.
👤I liked the way it looked with dual 5.25 mids. It wasn't as clear and clean as I thought it would be. The speakers made noise when punching or fighting scenes were being filmed. If you are wondering, I'm powered with older (marantz 5010 7.2) if you are just starting off. If you're just starting to build your surround sound up, then give it a try, but if you're doing a center channel replacement, it's not the center for you. I'm not knocking polk because I'm still using two 265 -RT as my L and R front speakers, but I guess just depends on your pocket and ear.
👤The speaker I purchased was a compliment to the 7.1 sound system. I bought the Polk Audio 255C-RT (center) Polk 265-LS x 2 (front sides) Polk 80F/X-RT x 4 (Surround and surround back) and the Denon AVR-x3600. They sound good out of the box. I was concerned about how well it would sound having mix and matched LS andRT into the same speaker setup. Those concerns were quickly laid to rest after the following process. Once you get your initial sound set up configured, play around with other options and the speakers will sound amazing once you get the right configuration. If you want to get the most out of these speakers, make sure you lay them out correctly and then modify them to your liking. I put the surround and back speakers in the ceiling and installed the front and center channels on the wall. These are easy to install. The layout of your speakers and speaker wire will be the most important things you do.
