👤These things beat my expectations for cheap wire duct. They give plenty with each pack, and the glue they provide is really good. I didn't like the idea of using the splice connectors because they only attach to the covers and it's hard to fit them in because you have to cut the covers to a shorter length. Just butt the lengths of ducts together and they still look great, using a miter saw to make cuts for corners if necessary.
👤The product is easy to use. The instructions are clear and it is nicely packaged with a good amount of length. The strips you can use instead of drilling into your wall are the right amount of sticky and don't cling to your hands like some similar products. The design of the kit makes it quite flexible for most wire concealing applications with a bit of trial-and-error, but the connector for joining straight pieces together makes the finish look less tidy than just not using one.
👤My mistake was not seeing that this is more than one small section. I was expecting more sections of the raceway. I would have to use just over 5 1/2 pieces and 5 connections. That uses up the connections. It takes longer to install and it doesn't look as nice.
👤The white surface is semi-gloss. I thought it would fit more cords. Adhesive tape is very strong. The connectors have a loose fit, but it's not a big deal. If your blade is dull, you will damage the rail system and they won't be able to slide into each other.
👤The product is well made. They needed to provide more inside bend pieces, and ended up buying more to complete my job.
👤Maybe it was a good product. I park my car in the garage. The first 6 inches on each segment are warped, bent or broken. I think I can use it in two areas. I need to cover one that is about 12 inches. I may be able to use pieces of what wasn't damaged to cover the cable. To cover the cord, have to do something else. The cover was a challenge to remove.
👤This is a great hire. It looks nice when applied well. Here's the problem. It is not easy to apply in corners. A clean transition can be difficult to make because of the connections that don't fit.
👤It is very good. I don't like that it's hard to cut when I need to adjust the length. It is difficult to put the cover on.
👤The system is easy to install and comes with a lot of screws and anchors. If you are not using thick cables and taking a lot of turns, the adhesive tape is a good option. Don't be discouraged, you can paint over the raceways, but your first coat won't look very good. I am very pleased with this product.
👤Does what it is supposed to do. We had to pre-drill the holes because we used the screws. The two parts are in perfect alignment. The speaker wire was covered. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.
It's a wall mount for TVs. There is a dual outlet in-wall cable management system. Two power outlets are included for mounting two TV's or one TV and one audio visual accessory. There were cables hanging down the wall between the TV and the floor. There is no need for an electrician with the snap together Power Connectors. This system allows for Wall Mounted TV's to hide cables and wires behind the wall for a clean look. Code compliant is the code for the Included In-Wall PowerConnect Cable and 6-foot Power Cord. Does not include Low Voltage Audiovisual Cables. The Flat Screen TV Mount should work with the thinnest TV mounts on the market. The product is top rated and easy to install. Code compliant is 6 feet in-wall.
👤I was initially happy with this purchase because it accomplished what it was designed to do, but my issue was after the initial install. I took my time and installed it and had no issues. I decided to upgrade my cables after installing the antenna, but that's when the issues started and others have had the same issue. The clips on the bottom box were broken and wouldn't hold the box in place anymore. After a few curse words and a couple of beers, I was able to find two different gang boxes that use the same stile clips, so I bought both of them. One had plastic clips and the other had metal ones. I tried the orange one's first, but found the screw hole tight and thought they might break again down the line. I tried the metal ones from the blue gang box and they were perfect. I was able to hold a tighter seal against the wall when I stopped them on both top and bottom. Fix cost me $3.19 from Lowes.
👤Don't buy if you're warned. Does not work with the latest power cords.
👤They told me to buy replacements after I found the manufacturer website and reached out via email. They won't warranty or stand behind their broken products. I would suggest looking elsewhere. The cheap plastic that holds the plug into the wall has broken after having to later add an audio cable. My plug is hanging there. This is a one time shot and you need to get all your cables in at the same time. It took a lot longer than 1/2 hour like it says, second we got the bottom to go in fine. The back of the wall is wider than the top, so it wouldn't go all the way into the wall. We lost the flip up tab in the wall. My husband was not happy with me for buying this and having to install it, he was not happy with me at all. He made fun of the big power supply that bridges the power to the box. He said that it looked like a stupid idea to have a wire run down your wall, so I used a shop vac to get the plastic piece in the wall. My husband was in big trouble.
👤I am very happy that I found this. I was surprised by the price, considering the best option I found was in the 70's, but I was still looking for something. It's a great value. I was happy with how easy it was to install. The plastic feels a little weak if you are patient and careful. You would have to be very violent to break it. If you don't put painters or electrical tape over the ends, the brushes will slide out. I crammed about 6 cables through both plates, the last 1 or 2 were difficult. I was able to make it work. This also includes 1 optical and 1 xbox cord. One review said you can't fit cords with bulky things near the connection, but I fit the Kinect cord through and it's massive. You have to be patient and work it through the plate. The reason for 4 is that the plastic feels a little weak, but that's usually the case with plates like these.
A single brush wall plate can easily create cable access from any wall. Smooth and clean home theater installations. The Gang cable access strap works with all cable types. The brush is easy to set up and place on the wall. The size and color are the same. White/Ivory Color, Standard size matches your home, Socket plate allows you to match your wall plates in your home.
👤These are made of high quality materials with excellent construction quality, but the design is not for a typical low-voltage installation. The "box" is only a frame placed into a cutout in the sheet rock and there is always a raised edge of the frame around the cutout not flush to the wall. The covers leave no room for the box frame to be placed over the wall. They would work perfectly if you could install a fully recessed box, but that can only happen with new construction.
👤The fibers are very rigid and seem to be high quality. I didn't notice until I installed them, but they use deep wall plates, so it protrudes from the wall more than a standard receptacle. If you put it next to a receptacle, you will notice it protrudes further and may be a consideration. The Carlon LV Old work brackets are not compatible with the wall plate. The wall plate had to be trimmed to be flush against the wall. I would like it to come with regular flat head screws for the wall plate. The fibers are held in by the brackets that use 4 clips. I thought I broke the clips when they became detached during install. I was able to get it back, but it could be a concern if you run a lot of cable through them. I don't think there will be an issue with this.
👤When I ordered it, I wasn't sure, but it turned out to be what I needed. It is a two piece assembly. The piece with the brush has a face the size of a light switch or receptacle. The second piece is a plate that screws onto the brush piece like a switch plate. The brush piece allows you to pass through a cable with virtually any type of connection at the end. The brush forms around the cable to hide something. I ordered a second one after I got the first one. The first one had instructions on how to install the brush wall plate using a low voltage mount. This would allow avoiding use of an electrical box if desired. I used a plastic electrical box to run the cables through low-voltage conduit, and the brush wall plate assembly still worked great. I removed the outer plate from the inner brush piece, which appeared to be one piece on arrival. I put the brush piece onto the electrical box after threading the cable through it. After threading the cable through the center of the outer plate, I attached the brush piece to the electrical box and voila, I was done. I read a review that advised against purchasing this item because it is not a split plate, meaning that the cable needs to be disconnected from the TV in order to use this wall plate. The review misses the point. The item claimed to allow you to install it without a cable. It does a great job of providing a more attractive solution than a hole in your wall with a cable coming out. I'm glad it wasn't a split plate since it looks better than a split plate and is likely more sturdy.
Depending on the depth of the gang box, banana plugs can be accommodated on both sides of the plate at the same time. Storage and distribution of structured wiring and audio visual components is what this is designed for. Can be placed behind most TV wall-mounts. 3rd party structured wiring components and compatible with devices like Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, network switches, and more. The mounting plate has a 1.5in elevation to accommodate larger devices and frees up space in the enclosure. The tool-free cover has a low profile and is designed to flush the wall.
👤I called Sanus/Legrand to inquire about a specific Sanus tv mount for my new tv, which is the same mount as in the pictures. On the 9" side, my height was about 1/8". On both ends, I marked a little over 1/66". The grinder was taken down the sides. It fit like a charm. The grinder took like 5 minutes to complete and the hand sanding took forever. A couple minutes with a cheap sanding block. It almost looks like a factory. I used a cable box and sound bar to run my cables. The 4k box is mounted on the wall. I put a duplex receptacle on the top and bottom and used zip ties to keep the romex tight to the box. I ordered a roll of USA made 1/2 Velcro from Amazon because it wasn't enough to keep everything bundled nicely and the Apple TV box secured. I could wrap my tv's power cord, Atv box, and all the different cables and keep them nice and neat. I bought a bundle that included the internal shelf to mount my Apple TV. Legrand sells rubber grommets for the pass through holes. The big blue box hardware store had about $2 left over. They protect the cable going in about the box from the inside. The Sanus and Legrand media enclosures are the same size. The Sanus is more expensive. They also sell a larger one-encase for anyone who wanted to mount their cable box in there. The description talks about the pass through cover. It is true to their word. I have not had a problem with the remote control for my Atv box. It comes with all the hardware needed to install this before Sheetrock is up or like me. I will buy this again. It was very easy to do. The sides were trimmed down.
👤The 65" Frame TV is manufactured by SAMSUNG. The installation went well. We did not use the mounting hardware for the inside of the box because it was not necessary to remove a flange to fit the one connect. It works great to hide the one connect, since you won't have room for any other devices.
👤The box will hold a lot of devices. It will take some planning to power those devices. I wanted my devices to be protected. The power distribution solution requires a 3-port surge protector and a flat extension cord. I needed to be able to plug certain items in at the right angle since I'm using the insert that has a network switch, Tivo box, IR Repeater, and running power out for the TV. I got some extension cords that were shorter to branch off the surge protectors. Everything is in the box. If I didn't need the network switch, it would be simpler, but it is necessary for my setup. Since the Tivo Remote doesn't need IR, the IR repeater may not be needed. That doesn't take up a lot of room. Surge-protected power delivery was the biggest challenge. There are many places to use zip-ties. The clips to hold the inner tray work well. It's not possible to install everything in the box before mounting it in the location, but you can attach the inner tray piece to the main box. I would use one of these again for another project. I will plan for the perfect size based on how much I cram into it.
Plug and play connections, 3.5 MM aux to a wire. The 3-Gang 7.2 surround sound distribution wall plate is compatible with 4K@60Hz and supports HDMI 2.0. The high-speed connecting devices are made of gold. The wall plate has a gold plated connection. The HDMI wall plate from Fosmon is a clean connection point for your audio/visual equipment. hiding cables in your walls is a way to remove cable clutter. All of your sound is included. This wall plate can be used to set up a surround sound system. This product has a limited lifetime warranty. Refer to the website for more information.
👤The plate was straight to the point and made my home theatre connections so easy to manage that I can just plug the receiver into the jacks. Behind the wall, cable management is done. I can't speak for the quality of the HDMI ports because I used this opening for a 6-port Keystone plate which I then used for the CAT6a network ports. I only mention it because there is a use case for someone to swap the included HDMI ports for something else that works better in their situation. As long as you have a standard Keystone plate, this can be done. A different plate can be installed just as quickly. The reason I removed a star from the review was because the jacks on the item were not good. After installing everything and mounting it to the wall, I was hit with a constant bass signal coming out of my woofer. I knew it wasn't coming from a specific source since my receiver was off. I removed the wall plate and found that the jack on the inside had broken and the plastic plug had been pushed through to the back. The signal pin was shorting the cable because of this. I moved the cable to the second jack and it broke the first one. I decided not to return the plate because I had some extra keystones and jacks that I just removed and put in this wall plate. There were no more breaking issues after that. If you buy this product, keep an eye on the sub jacks as the plastic looked brittle and could break over time.
👤3 of these were ordered. Two of the three have bad HDMI connections. I tried different cables and tried another outlet. After all of the work, I returned what I thought were faulty cables, but only one of my three actually function. I am going to swap the HDMI gang outlet for another brand because the speaker connections work on all three of them. A lot of work, a lot of problems, and a lot of wasted time. 1/3 of my order price was returned by the company because the gang outlet didn't work. I would try them again in the future. The stars were from 2 to 5. Customer support is great.
👤I like the fact that I can get a 7.2 wiring into one location. I don't need the HDMI because I wouldn't be using it in the walls. The option to include another four-set of post for the plate would be better. I was able to find an insert with eight posts and swap out the HDMI insert for it. This is a nice plate if I only did 7.2.
👤The wall plate cleaned up my cables. The wires and cables were fished out of my walls and put into a cabinet. I could have just bought a wall plate with a large hole in it to save a few bucks but the plate really adds that extra touch making it look very professional. The 6.1 configuration includes the Front Left, Front Right, Center, Surround Left, and Sub Woofer. You can also hook up 2 cables. The left, center, and right panel are released by the 6 screws on the wall plate. The front plate will be put back on after the panels are screwed to the low voltage 3 gang brackets. I used the PROS clean plate from the 3 gang low voltage brackets. The plugs glide in smoothly and are high quality. There is a The HDMI port supports both audio and video. The banana posts were loose upon arrival. It was easy to fix with a pair of pliers.
Keeping your kids and pets safe is important, messy dangling cables can cause tripping risk for your kids and pets. These ugly cables can be hidden with Delamu cable concealer kits. 10 white cable channels is enough to hide all your cable and will fit the floorboard perfectly with its half-round shape. You could use this channel for more time. The channels cover is easy to connect and snap on. You can connect each channel by cutting it to the length you want, and using their tape to snap on your cable raceway firmly. You can use this kit as floor cord covers for your safety. The flat surface helps prevent tripping, it allows the chairs to roll over smoothly, and it keeps the family safe. Their cord concealer system is perfect for keeping your home and office clean and tidy.
👤I wanted to make sure our TV cord and baby monitor cord were child proof. The 1/2 inch size is perfect for regular power cords. If needed, they can be cut down. The sticky tap that it came with is very strong and can be easily applied. My toddler has given up trying to remove it from the wall. You don't have to thread the cord through it if you slide off the top and bottom portion. The value for money is great.
👤These are great! The sticky tape that comes with it is so strong that it will test the paint on your wall. Command strips are easy to put up and they won't tear up the wall when I take them down.
👤These look nice, they have plenty of room for three or four cables, and they were easy to install. I'm not sure how the double-sided tape works, since I used the provided wall anchors and screws. I slid the top plate off, drilled a few holes, attached it to the wall, and reassembled it. It's easy. I don't think that will be a problem since I haven't painted them yet.
👤It works well. The small size does not fit 3 cables as it states in the description. The medium might be a max of 4. It isn't that big of a deal if double sided tape is attached. I was concerned about seeing the seems between pieces but it isn't an issue if placed carefully. I can recommend something.
👤I used these to cover the telephone cord. The top and bottom parts are not the same. I put the phone cord into the cover and slid the top back on, then lined the pieces up across the floor.
👤It looks great and easy to install, but beware of the size since only one or two small cable fit. I used it indoors and outdoors three times.
👤The second order did not match the first order, but you can see in the picture that there are two different sizes. I want to have the same order in the right size. Thanks!
👤The tracks are very low profile and paint up nicely. Do not use the included strip because it will destroy your wall if you need to move the track. I have to patch and paint the wall because I had to move the track for a new TV.
A standard cable port has all the benefits of a standard port. The cable port can be held in place with flexible grommet and spring locks. It's quick and easy to drill a hole into the wall. It's ideal for wall mounted TVs and speaker installations. The hole size needed is 2-1/4” and the inner diameter is 2”
👤I have used a lot of products. My go-to is usually a brush plate, but for this application, I use a power strip pass-through for a false wall. I needed to push the 3-prong connection. The brush plates are too narrow. This product is similar to a brush plate, but it doesn't feel like it. The rubber fingers will bleed. Whatever comes from the other side. Keep that in mind for your application. If you have a giant hole saw on hand, you can install it in under 2 minutes. If you're in a hurry to finish a hole, this is your fastest solution.
👤I've used 3 of the spring-loaded wall grommets for TV installs and also for my home office with my PC, and I've purchased more. This grommet does what it's designed to do and looks fine, but it's severely overpriced for what you're getting, which is my main complaint. The rubber or Silicone ring material used for the inner part where the cables pass through isn't durable at all. The inner material on two of the grommets has torn through. The material is still usable, but not rugged at all. Installation is easy. I have a drywall saw that I attach to my drill and use to bore a 2.25" hole. After that, just a bit of dust and a cable pass-through port is needed. The cable passes through the grommet easily, and the material is cheap and easy to tear if you have a lot of cables to run.
👤It was easy to install. Follow the instructions on the size hole to cut and insert the product. I was trying to run my cables through the rubber piece, but it kept popping off. I installed a PoE security system in the attic and put cables in the coat closet. I wanted a barrier to keep dust out of the coat closet. I got all the cables through and then put the flange back in place, but any tugging on the cables will probably cause it to fall. I will glue the piece in place if this happens. I think nylon fibers are more secure than rubber extensions.
👤I've used three different pass-through ports to help with cable management in my home, and I think this one is my favorite. I had to purchase a hole saw to install it, but it popped in with no trouble and held tight with the springs, so installation was completed in about two minutes. The material in the center is soft enough to bend but still maintain its original shape, which is important for multiple cables to fit. I have two power plugs and one A/V cable for my sub-woofer. The rubber "teeth" in the photo look a little messy since I was feeding the cables in from both sides, but could easily be adjusted if it were in a more visible spot. There is enough space for four or more cables. I'm happy with the result and how easy it was to use.

👤This is a good product that fits a lot of cords, and the covers snap on rather than being stuck on the sides. I have an installation tip. The channel is hard to remove from the wall once you stick it. Measure, level and draw a line on the wall before you remove the cover for the glue. Now my trick is to use an axe or razor blade to cut through the cover. Cut about 2 inches from both ends, and then make a couple cuts in the center. You want to get rid of the other glue, but you also want to keep the 3 two inch sections. It was difficult to get the liner to stick when I tried to remove it from those sections. It might have worked if I pushed harder to get those sections to stick. I took my thumb and rolled it around to peel off the whole thing in the larger areas, except for my 2 inch sections. It's almost like a rubbery gummy glue and you can roll it off with a little effort. When it comes time to take it off, it won't rip up the whole wall because it sticks the channel down very securely. It looks better to put 2 straight pieces against each other rather than using one of the connector covers. The covers are wider so you can see the bulge at the connections. I tried to do a 45 degree cut on 2 pieces of channel with my hacksaw so I could butt the corners without the extra covers. I didn't get it perfect and there was a little gap showing. I decided to just pop on one of the 90 degree elbow covers and be done with it, but I think if you got the cuts right it would look better to use the covers.
👤This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. The kit came with everything needed for the job to start and finish, except for a pencil mark to the wall. The saw to trim the pieces was useful. It also includes a measuring tape. The instructions seem straightforward, but I only looked at them as they seemed intuitive. The way this was packaged was mentioned by another reviewer. The kit completely transformed the mess of cords that ran down my wall from my tv, ps4 and sound bar. The included pics show before and after. The tv and wall unit were installed at the same time, so I only have an "after" for my living room. My bedroom walls are light grey, so they don't blend in as well as they do in my living room, but I assume they could be painted if that really bothered you. I have done the living room and bedroom so far, and plan to do the other 2 bedrooms in my house. I will probably have enough left over to do at least two more rooms once I'm done.
👤You should note to every product maker. Everything you need to make your own cord concealing track is in the package. I had a kit that covered all of the areas I wanted it to cover. I didn't need the screws&anchors because the track has sticky tape that was strong enough to stick to the wall, and a saw to cut the tracks if needed. You don't have to go to a hardware store to open a package. Thank you for looking and working perfectly!
The split cover is designed to snap into place. Even if partially covered, split design supports removal and access to components. EASE OF ACCESS: It's easy. Convenient access to the back of the TV is provided by the in-wall storage. It's possible to hook up a digital TV, cable box, sound bar, or streaming media device. The cable access strap is easy to use and handles all the cables necessary to support your TV. It is compatible with all TV power plugs, even right angle cords and bulky power supplies. It is compatible with all TV power plugs, even right angle cords and bulky power supplies.
👤The people who post images of the hole not being the right size struggled in school. The template should be cut out. The cutout needs to be level. Use a carpenters knife to trace it. You can cut out the outline with a drywall saw. Very easy.
👤The product was easy to install if you have the right tools. It is easy to cut with an osmotic saw. I put the top piece in the wall that had plaster and lath over it, and the bottom piece in the wood baseboard to keep my other receptacles separate. The only complaint I had was how it arrived. Pieces fell out of a crushed box when it arrived. I didn't lose any parts because the crushed box was inside one of the bags. The box was crushed open and there was nothing broken. I would recommend the products all day long.
👤The right time to do some work on the house was when we were painting it. They work great on 3 TV's we installed. You'll likely have to buy longer cables when buying. The guy did the installation. It didn't look complicated. A handier person would probably be able to do it.
👤This product is designed to hide TV cables and wires.
👤Does everything it says. The length of the wire was cut a couple feet because they give you a lot. It makes wall mounted TVs look great.
👤I'm going to look at the product photos here to figure it out.
👤I have installed 2 of them and they work great. The template is correct. You can do it if you have a saw and a screwdriver. The instructions are good. If you follow them, you will have an issue fishing the wires behind the wall. I had an issue with the walls I used for my TV. There is a The insulation on the outer walls of our house makes it difficult to pass the wire down the wall. The Bath was on the other side of the bedroom. The structure got in the way. I used a coat hangar to get past the tub structure. You just need something stiff to get past the wire. If you plan on doing a lot of these, I recommend investing in a fish tape. Let's talk about Amazons shipping. I received the wrong item. I received a rubber band set. I received the correct item 2 days later. The box in the bag was opened and all the parts were there. I used it since I did the previous one. If you ever add a stereo system or a soundbar, you should purchase a couple of extra HDMI cables and put them in the same place as the other cables.
Their cable organizers keep the cords organized. It is the easiest way to organize your cords and provide more place for activities if you dress up your home and office. The total length of the 10 cable management channels is 157 inches. Installation is simple and easy, you can use self-adhesive tape or the package with screws and anchors. Keep your child and pets safe by hiding the cables or cords near the floor. They have made the wire channels slim and sleek so as to perfectly blend into your home decor, and you can paint the raceway to any color you need to match your wall.
👤I bought this on the spot. I was unsure about the size of the raceway. I went with the middle size. My TV has a single optical cable that only runs the inputs and power. I also have a sound bar with an optical cable. There were two power cables from the two devices. See pictures 1 to 3. There was a lot of room for sloppiness with the T connector. This raceway fit my extension cord, 2 power cables and 2 optical cables. But. I have a TV setup in this room that has a power cable, as well as a HDMI cable. I can easily fit a couple more in that picture, because I think the power cable and HDMI are in it. I grabbed 2 thick + 2 thin HDMIs, a power cord, and a test, and it all fit inside. I have over 7ft left after my installs. I go to my family room. There are pros and cons to the price, easy to install and length of the connectors. To install straight, you'll need a good straight edge and level. If this helped you, please mark it as helpful because installing it straight without the straight edge will be hard. I know it's worth the time to do longer reviews with pictures. Thanks.
👤I had to hide the wires that were sticking out of my speakers. The plastic covers were well cut. The tape was sticky and worked well. If you attempt to remove the tape from a painted surface, be careful not to place the tape on the wrong place. This happened to me. Poor instructions were the only issue I had with the product. The instructions on the package are not clear. I tried to find instructions on how to attach the concealers, but they were not available. I was satisfied with how well the concealers looked after installing them. I was expecting the concealers to stand out. They didn't. The connections connecting the concealers were going to make them look ugly. I tried to leave the connections off, but it looked better with the connections. The before and after pictures are attached. I would definitely recommend this product to others. It is not expensive. If you want your entertainment system to look clean, it's definitely worth the investment.
👤I was looking for a way to hide the cables of my electronics. The finished project looks great and these were easy to use. These are easy to put together and get the job done. This worked well and I can highly recommend it. After reading reviews, I would avoid the tape included. This sticky tape causes a lot of problems. I decided that I wouldn't drill holes. Command Strips are an efficient way to solve problems. One can cut the command strip in half using the peel away portion on the wall and the back of the cord cover base piece. I got my Command Strips here. They were the perfect solution. Good luck!

👤It was easier to install a new outlet than it was to use it. I could have gone to home depot and bought the parts for the new outlet, which is what this does, for a lot less money. I would have to drill through the wall's top plate and route the wiring into the attic. This allowed me to do it from inside the house and they thought for me so it is code compliant. It was fair enough. I would call it advanced because you still have to cut holes in the wall and run the wires through. My main complaint is that I ordered it in black to match my wall. The parts that were black were hidden by the TV on the wall. The parts that you can see are all white. A bright white extension cord runs to a white box on the wall. This is on a black wall. I bought a black extension cord and spray painted the bottom pieces black. I might use the white cord that came with it. Maybe. There is a The pieces that are hidden should be the ones that are left with the wrong color.
👤It's just a kit of bits and pieces you might need for a power connection. There is nothing special here. Pick the pieces you need separately and save money. This kit is a great option if you need to place a remote power outlet up to 6 feet away from an existing power source. If you are comfortable doing your own home wiring for such a simple task, then you don't need this relatively expensive collection of bits. Get the parts you need. kit will make sure that every possible part of the job will be there.
👤I used this to run wires behind the wall. I triple checked everything the first time because I wanted to get it right. Behind the TV, it hides all the wires. Friends can't believe that I did it myself. Looks very professional. I recommend this product if I can suggest something to you. Well worth it!
👤It took about 2 hours to install, but I spent a lot of time measuring the spots on my wall to cut. Installation is easy. Before you screw in the wall plates, I recommend running your cables through the wall. I fit several cables, including 2 HDMI cables, 1 digital optical cable, 1 Ethernet cable, and 1 coax antenna cable. I may be able to fit one more HDMI cable but it will be very tight.
👤This kit is for sale. It has everything you need. The less expensive kit does not have the power cord in the wall. You need to connect electrical wires to the back of the outlet. Don't do this yourself if you don't trust yourself to be connecting the wires.
👤The location of power plugs in my house is dismal, it was built in the 60's. I needed a place to plug in my TV and gaming system that didn't require me to have exposed wires or an extension cord, as I have a TV and gaming system in my bedroom. This was what I needed. The instructions were easy to follow and I was able to install it on my own. If I had not had to search for my tools, it would have been less. I think a tool chest is next in my future purchase.
