👤I don't like the bright blue light when the unit is on, but I hate it when you turn it off with the remote. Looks like the cops are outside your window. The only way to stop it is to push the "off" button on the unit. Who was the "bright" idea? I don't like the fact that you have to cycle through the menu to get to HDMI every time you turn it on, and it seems like it should remember where it was and go back to that. You have to go through several different options to get to HDMI and the desire TV picture, and then switch to a different sound option because it sounds like static on the HDMI. It's ok once it's on, but I wouldn't buy it again. I would never have bought this unit if I had seen it in a store.
👤If you really want a bright blue light that never goes off when you turn off the unit, then you should not buy this unit. When I inquired about the indicator on their website, they only said it was a backup. There was no solution offered. I wanted to save a few local stations for preset. There is no information in the manual or online. The online support person didn't know the answer to the fundamental question, so I was told to create a ticket to advanced support. I don't like returning items, but this one may be the last one. Terrible support. Very annoying.
👤The unit works well. The price is great. The remote doesn't seem to work beyond 10 feet if you want to change a setting. The blue light on the button could be turned off. The light was covered with white tape.
👤This review was good. I would have given it a great rating, but a few things weren't as I thought. The surround sound is not a real sound. It doesn't do digital. It doesn't support DTS. The blue ray player won't play the video with the sound on. The sound is similar to a card in bicycle spokes. If I turn off the surround on the TV and use an optical cable to connect my stuff to the TV, it will work. Quality sound can be heard to 5 channels. I paid less for this unit. A unit with all the neat stuff for surround sound would cost a lot. I would make sure my friend knew that the receiver doesn't do real surround sound.
👤It is easy to hook up components.
👤One speaker output was bad and would output static. Returned immediately for a new unit. Any output of 5.1 would only output static. We're outside of the 90 day window, so we won't refund or replace now. Terrible customer service. Avoid this at all costs.
👤I didn't buy this receiver thinking I would get something great. I needed a budget receiver for the guest house. The build is fairly solid, but the sound quality is okay, the display is dim, and the blue power light is too bright. I returned the first one because I thought they were defects, but the replacement one does the same things.
This advanced 5.2 channel stereo receiver has new features. HDCP 2.3 is the latest version of high-bandwidth digital content protection. Make the most of your new 4K Ultra HD TV with HLG, HDR10, Wide Color Gamut, and 4:4:4 Pure Color sub-sampling. You can extend the reach of your music to any room in the house with HEOS multi-room wireless speakers. You can get hi-fi sound around your home with a variety of services. With AMAZON ALEXA, you can sit back and enjoy music without having to use a remote. An award-winning on-screen setup assistant will walk you through simple instructions to connect your TV and help you maximize your surround sound. Denon's precision technology is a must-have for your home. Four quick selection buttons on the front panel help you store your preferred audio settings for television, Blu-Ray, and more, and allows you to switch between them quickly. The speaker wires are arranged in a way that makes it easy to connect them.
👤I bought a new receiver to replace an older one. The jury is still out three days after delivery. It was a quick start guide and did not have a full owners manual. I wanted to let Denon do its thing, so I ran the setup and let it do its thing. I was presented with a group of canned tone settings, none of which sounded better than a cheap blue tooth speaker that had been placed in the culvert under my driveway. There is a I was going to have to disabling all of the crapware and gimmicks and see if I could find an equalizer and manual tone settings in Denon's maze of useless options. I found the owner's manual on line, but it's not easy to access the manual tone and EQ settings. It's almost like Denon doesn't want you to do that. The owner's manual is over 200 pages. Is it possible to get a good sound out of this reveiver? The kind of sound that fills the room? The sound of a pick hitting the strings? Possibly! I was able to achieve the above mentioned sound quality after messing with the settings for half the day yesterday. It wasn't easy, but it's possible. They spent half a day disabling their crapware and trying to figure out how to adjust the bass and treble. The equalizer is not user friendly. Nothing can be simpler than a knob on the front of the receiver or a tone button on the remote to access the settings. Nope. Denon has done a great job on this puppy. If you want to achieve decent sound quality with this receiver, be prepared for some mind incomprehensible stupidity; "You can't do this if that is enabled" and "you can't do that if this is not enabled" All of this was to set up Music Mode. I have to do it again for each of the other modes. There is a Changing the tone and sound quality settings on the fly is not likely to be an option if the audio quality changes from one movie to the next. The movie was over before I got the audio settings set. The jury is still out, but there is a chance that this receiver will be returned. The satisfaction to be gained by running over it with my truck will have to be considered as well. I think the next power outage will decide its fate.
👤The Onkyo receiver that was replaced was 20 years old, but it did not have HDMI. I bought the Denon unit because I was tired of using an external switcher with a fussy remote. Denon's support and the product was disappointing. When setting up I could not figure out how to save the settings for each input, it would save my settings, then when I switched to another input it would unsave, and when I switched back to the original input everything was back to a default setting. After I contacted Denon support, my support ticket disappeared and there was no response. After a few days, I figured out that if I hold the input button, it saves the sound settings for each input. I tried connecting my projector to a small tv, but it didn't work, so I reset the receiver and tried a new HDMI cable, but it didn't work. I decided to return the unit for another brand because I was still in the 30 day window.
Enjoy your home audio experience in the comfort of your home. 100 watt x 2 watt. The speaker impedance is 6 to 16. 3.5 millimeter input, stereo RCA output, and Phono input. You can stream your favorite music service, podcasts, and more from other devices. A/B can switch to play all at once, or in separate zones. The low profile design is easy to fit into a conventional cabinet. There are 30 station preset on the radio.
👤I've owned some very nice and very poor stereo receivers. I would give SONY high marks for design and build quality, but that's not the case with this receiver. I want to know how fundamental is something as a speaker connection. There are many tried and true methods, including screw-down binding posts and banana-plug connectors. The cheapest version uses the "clamp-down" version. Sony has taken this cheapness to a whole different level. Read on. Most of us know to use decent speaker wires, which have a decent amount of wire within the insulation, but "monster cable" is the exception. It's the same diameter as appliance electrical wire. I tin the tip of the wires to prevent them from unraveling. Sony made it impossible to use good speaker wire on this receiver. The cheap "clamp" type connector is not a good speaker wire and the opening is not large enough to fit a paper clip. Look at photos. The old Radio Shack receiver that this unit is replacing had good speaker wire connection posts. I had to cut one of the fingers off of the electrical connection so it would fit into the tiny space when hook-up time came around. I'm thinking of returning the entire unit. This is an example of a product that is not going through any quality assurance testing, especially by engineers in charge of designing the unit. I am not surprised that Sony had nothing to do with this receiver. It happens all the time. If you want to purchase this cheap receiver, you will probably have to use speaker pins, and I really dislike these things! There is a speaker with plugs and a speaker with connections and pins. Tome is in charge? That's on the remote control. How about a pair of headphones? Again, on the remote. Almost all of the "critical" adjustments are done on the remote control. If you misplace the remote control, get it wet or break it, you're SOL in regards to operating this receiver. You might think of ordering a second one just in case. I prefer to have actual KNOBS on my receiver for low, mid, and high frequencies, as well as some other critical functions such as loudness, tape monitoring, etc. Sometimes you don't get what you pay for. As this receiver seems to be in the marketing advertisement and from other "reviewers", you might want to broaden your search to include a different manufacturer. This is not the Sony I used to know.
👤I needed to replace my Yamaha receiver from 30 years ago. I was looking for a receiver with a phono input that was reasonably priced. I settled on this Sony and have been happy with it. It was easy to set up. You can plug in a phono jack with grounding wire and add additional inputs. You can use the remote control to change the inputs. Speaker wires can be put into the back of the clamps. The sound quality is good. Once the wire is tightened, the phono doesn't buzz. Everything is balanced through my speakers. My old receiver didn't have a feature that allowed me to pair my laptop with it and play my library without interruption. It works as well as the other way around. There are a few cons about it. You can only pair it to one device at a time, not both. I have a home clock and radio that is available online, but I don't think it's a big deal. You can use the remote to access preset on the radio. You can have up to 30. You need to hit the forward button on the remote or scroll with the on board knob. The tuner scans slowly to find stations. If it's not important to you, this makes for a very solid home receiver and very reasonably priced.
The bundle includes the Sony 2 Channel Stereo Receiver with Phono Inputs and the Monoprice Select Series 16AWG Speaker Wire, 100 Feet. The power of 1000W pee power. The Pyle 5 2 channel hi-fi home theater receiver has 1000 watt peak power, which is perfect for speakers and subs with 4-16 ohms impedance, and lets you enjoy high quality amplified audio. Bluetooth is a cannabinoid. The professional integrated high powered stereo receiver is equipped with a hassle-free receiver setup. 4K Ultra HD TV support is included in the AV digital amplifier box, which also has a dedicatedRCA subwoofer output. There are EQ controls. The home amplifier has two mic inputs. Next-gen audio technology and controls for echo bass microphone and volume adjustments are included. The home theater surround sound receiver system has a built-in digital display with a front panel control center that is integrated over the current short circuit.
👤I bought these for my backyard pergola to play music from my phone. I just installed them and tried them out, so I don't know if they will last, but here are some initial thoughts. It's easy to setup and link speakers. If you have a straight tip jewelers screwdriver, it is not hard to wire the two speakers together. The style of the passive speaker is more traditional. It is linked once wired together. 2. It is easy to install brackets. The brackets are thought out. You can hang the key slot cutouts with screws. The knobs to attach speakers to brackets are easy to use, but it is easier to remove brackets from speakers. 3. Sound quality is very good. It's not great, mind you. These are not the same as Bose, but they are not priced the same. These speakers sound nice. It's not clear why another reviewer said otherwise, unless his speaker wires crossed the same direction. Make sure your speaker wire has ribbed or line on it. You can make sure you have positive and negative vibes. 4. It's really good. I moved around with my phone in hand and didn't lose signal. The setup was easy. The speakers appeared on my phone after I had powered them on. Clicked connect and was good to go! There was an audible chirp over the speaker. 5. Not everything you need is provided. The speaker wire connection requires a jewelers screwdriver to open a slot to insert the wire, and then a close slot to close it. It was odd, and the only reason I see for not having traditional terminal posts like the other speaker is that it allows you to easily remove wires from a speaker mounted to a wall. There is no speaker wire. Not even a short one. They could have included a short, low budget wire to get you started. I don't have an audio reel on hand, so I'll probably have to make a run to Walmart for speaker wire, and that jewelers screwdriver, perhaps. 6. The instructions are not overly complicated, but they are a bit misleading. The setup reads as if the speaker wire is already on one of the speakers. It is not included at all. 7. The material quality is good. The speakers are not Bose equivalents, but for what you pay, it is pretty good. I did not take cover to inspect the materials. Hopefully they have chosen a nice cone that is resistant to water. If longevity is insufficient, I will change this review. The speaker is made of poly/plastic and wouldn't rust. It seems sturdy enough for what you pay. The speaker knobs are plastic, but have a brass insert and metal screw. The metal is coated. Sturdy enough, and designed to secure speakers in either horizontal or vertical position. There are 8. The sound can be adjusted in regards to bass, treble, and volume, but it's via knobs on the back of the speaker. I would have rated this 5 stars if there was an app that could make these sound adjustments so you don't have to reach in the small space between the back of the speaker and the wall to adjust it. That is my run down. Hope this helps. I have tried to give more details on what I think is positive and negative, but in the end, I am happy with the purchase.
220 watt per channel. 4K/60p and HDR are supported. x playback of Dolby Atmos and DTS. The height of the film is virtualized. The accureflex and the accueq have subs.
👤I can't imagine buying this and returning it because of the connection, but I suppose it's different for different people. There were a few features I was looking for in a replacement receiver. My previous receiver couldn't handle the newer audio formats. My previous receiver could pass through high definition on HDMI, but without any visual indicators on top. I use the Chromecast to control my devices. I was looking for a display with 4k capabilities for the future, but my display is still in the 1920s. I knew I didn't need more than 100w because my speakers are very sensitive. I pounced when I saw a good deal on this. I've only got a 5.1 setup with KLF20 mains, KLF-C7 center, and KSP-S6 rears. The pair is with a sub. The auto setup worked well, setting my crossovers for all the channels. The setting of 40Hz isn't really wrong, but I usually increase it to 60Hz for the rears. The sound quality is pretty good so far. I wasn't able to do direct A/B comparisons because AccuEQ doesn't sound as good to my ear as Audyssey. The graphics are nice, but the fonts and everything look a little dated. It's not a bad thing because it shows what I need it to be. When I want to play audio from a phone, I will turn off the bluetooth. I don't have any Apple devices to test that out. Adding the receiver to my speaker group will allow me to play it whole- home. I can't speak to the on-device apps that I'll never use. I have to figure out a lot of the sound mode settings. In comparison to just using DPL IIz, there are a lot of different modes to expand the audio and virtualize additional speakers. I'll probably add height speakers at some point, but they'll be further down the road in my upgrades. I'm happy with the purchase so far. It sounds good, it's powerful, and I got a good price on it. What more could I ask for?
👤The model was bought to replace a damaged one. I decided to buy the 9.2 model to take advantage of Atmos and add two front and back height speakers. The 797 model should have had e-ARC support out of the box, but it doesn't and isn't even a hint that it will be added in future updates. One star off for that.
👤This machine has the most disappointing issues when it is expensive. It will take a long time for it to find your mobile phone or any other device. When you are a few feet away, the playback is erratic. You have to go through the pain again if you lose connection as quickly. No one wants wires all over if you don't have bluetooth. Not worth the cost. Immediately returning it.
👤I like the Onkyo system, they sound great to me. I got the Tx-NR797 today, but I still have the Tx-NR 676, so I'm not setting it up yet. I will give an update soon. Oh my. This is one. A receiver. System movies are not the same without it. I've put it all with a Bic speaker from the 980 2 in the front, 89 2 in the rear, 66 4 in over head, pl 28 center, 2-f12 one side and 2 Onkyo sub in the rear. I am happy with the sound of the Atoms and the DTS, it is clean and deep bass, and the set up is beautiful.
The pass-through for the signals is supported by the VSX- . These latest video standards can be enjoyed on a compatible display if you connect a compatible source device. The MCACC is a multi-channel acoustic calibration system that was developed with the expertise of professional recording studios. The custom microphone equalizes response and compensates for differences in speaker size, level and distance. You can connect your wireless headphone Dock to the zone B Audio output terminals on the VSX- . You can listen to the sound in the living room with headphones. You can stream songs from compatible devices. 4. 2 + LE. The A2DP/AVRCP profiles are supported by the VSX-834. When the unit is not in use, you can start up the function by pressing the button on the front panel. If you press the personal preset button on the front panel for three seconds, your current settings can be saved. The front panel button or remote control can be used to call up up to three preset.
👤I had a hard time setting up the receiver because I only had one connection on the receiver and I had 2 digital audio connections. I did some research on TV arcs. I connected the tv to the cable. It's good. I disconnected the audio wires from the TV and connected them to the receiver, and everything worked great. The sound is great. It's odd that the volume starts from a negative number for no sound to a positive number for max volume. Who cares? Either way. It was easy to set up the speakers in the room once everything was connected. I tested it with a movie and it was great. My old stereo didn't sound good. I bought it 10 years ago. I would recommend it to everyone.
👤The receiver is advertised as a 7.2 receiver, which means it powers 6 speakers. After assembling my 6 speakers, I was surprised to find that two of them were not playing at all, because I had bought speaker brackets to mount them high. I wondered if I had to turn on a switch internally to turn on that port, yet when I got in the manual, it said only four speakers can be powered by this receiver. The manual says the receiver only powers 4 speakers. I am out extra money I paid to make a surround system because that is false advertising.
👤The Vsx60 elite receiver is not 4K past through, so I replaced it with a much better one. I agree with Sound and Vision that this receiver is great. Very happy!
👤I was very pleased with the stereo receiver. The sound is great, we have just a 3.1 setup with bookshelf, center and sub speakers.
👤I love this receiver, but I wish it had more power. The sound quality is decent for not having an amplification device. We always want more when we host a lot of parties.
👤I worked for a few days, then stopped working in the middle of a movie. After I unplugged it and plugged it back in, I switched it over to weird mode. It never worked because of everything that was tried to get it to work. The product was junk. I was glad I was able to return it for a Denon.
👤I have had a 7.1 system for over 15 years.
👤The transformer inside buzzes makes the receiver useless. It was very annoying.
👤Went into safty mode after the speaker check. All the systems are new. A boat anchor is now a thing. The boat anchor is $450.
👤It's facile, bonne qualité de son.
👤Calibration facile et Bon prix.
👤Ajustes home. Destaque para Zona B.
The high-performing receiver (100W per channel at 8 ohms) that offers greater stability with a wide range of speakers, and delivers balanced sound each time, is a must have. Denon's experience in designing award-winning amplifier and their use of Hi-fi parts, custom resistors, audio grade capacitors, a double differential DAC circuit and analog preamplifier circuits deliver a superior sound experience. Full 4K Ultra HD 60Hz video, 4:4:4 Pure Color sub sampling, and HLG pass-through are included in the advanced HDMI video section. You can watch your favorite movies and shows with clarity and contrast. You can enjoy multi-room streaming with built-in HEOS technology, which allows you to play music from any popular streaming service in one room. Voice control can be used with all major voice agents. Command any voice agents or smart home automation systems. You can listen to your favorite tracks stored on a memory device via theusb port on the front panel or through network sources. You can connect your turntable to the speakers or amplifier with the integrated MM equalizer. Denon has a 100 year legacy of sound and joy. The amplifier for the home theater and entertainment system will give you multi-dimensional audio and sensational surround sound.
👤I want to give this receiver 5 stars for sound quality and features, but a few things hold it back. I'm happy that this receiver is 2.1 and that I don't need any more speakers, but the reality is that you need HDMI switch and this receiver fills that need. I give it 5 stars for sound quality. Excellent resolution, clarity, and flat non-colored response are what it sounds like. It is well above its price point. The large Amps give it authority to play loud. The sound mode options can be changed with a button push on the remote. I bought this thinking about the good old days when you had tone controls on the receiver. I end up playing this in Pure Direct mode, which ignores the tone circuits, balance, Restorer and even the unit's display. I replaced my 35-yr old 3-way speakers and sub with a pair of Tekton Pendragons because I was very happy with the sound quality. Again, 5 stars. The ability to use the receiver as a preamplifier only is one of the inputs and outputs. I have a firestick, blueray, and rasperry pi. There are both optical and coax inputs, as well as the ability to play music directly from ausb stick. You can change the name of the input selections on the display. Heos will give it 3 stars. I don't want my phone to be involved in HEOS operation and I don't need the features to direct sound to another room. I don't stream. The play buffer is limited to 300 songs, so playing music from a computer on the network is fantastic, but it's not as good as playing music from a stick. This is not a good thing. I wanted to just load my music on a stick, hit shuffle, and then be done with it. The first 300 songs are put in the play buffer and you can only shuffle them. 2 stars is the best rating. It only supports the SBC. The DAP will only connect to this unit with the SBC, which is not compatible with LDAC. The receiver does not support aptX or aptX-HD. The ECO mode is interesting. It appears to use less power for smaller volumes. You can hear a click as the receiver turns on more power. It keeps the unit cool. I was able to get around the HEOS and bluetooth limitations by purchasing an Xduoo 10T-ii digital transport player. I connect directly to the DRA's coax spdif and use the DRA's internal DAC for music, and it sounds awesome with a flat detailed response and high clarity. The DRA800H doesn't have a digital connection. It would have been nice if a BNC connection had been used instead of the RCA spdif. You have to set the inputs. I couldn't get the unit to play the analog out of my Sony DAP, but I had to set the input for analog, and then everything was fine. I had to change the digital input to be coax. I had to dump all my mp3s in favor of flac as the difference is obvious due to the high sound quality of the DRA and the Pendragon speakers. Bob Dylan sounds like he's in the room. The DRA800H is a great buy at it's price point and is loaded with a lot of features. The HEOS and bluetooth support for modern codecs need improvement, but are easy to work around with a digital transport using the DRA's spdif inputs and internal DAC. The Pure Direct sound mode is awesome and the sound quality is above its price point. The DRA's dedication to 2 speakers is excellent. I can put my money into the best speaker pair.
You can enjoy your favorite movies, TV shows and more in the comfort of your home with Cinematic Sound at Home. S Force PRO delivers virtual surround sound with only a 2 speaker setup. You can use your phone to stream music and use a Standby turn on the receiver. A multi function system includes a multi channel stereo setup, a radio tuner and a headphone jack. There are 4 stereo Rca audio inputs and 2 digital audio outputs. In the box is a microphone, remote control, batteries, and a wire antenna. Also, note: Installation Manual and User Guide can be found in the catalog. Also, note: Installation Manual and User Guide can be found in the catalog.
👤I never leave a bad review, but this receiver did not allow for the full experience of the game. If I plugged my TV into my XBOX One X, it would be capable of playing both video and gaming. The build quality is good, but the lack of AUX-in was disappointing. I picked up the Yamaha after returning the Sony. It's $50 cheaper, has tons of more features, and has an AUX-in feature that I've wanted for years, and it passes the tests of both Dolby Vision and HDR10 correctly. Pick up the Yamaha, you'll be happy you did.
👤I put together a simple 5.1 surround system in my small den based on a Yamaha amplifier that started to go a little weird - it would turn itself on and off, sometimes wouldn't allow volume control from a remote, and sometimes wouldn't have picture resolution dropped. The sound was pretty decent. I decided to swap out the amplifier for the Sony one. Wow, what a change! It was easy to set up and calibrate. The sound stage is very detailed. It makes my speakers sparkle with clarity and crispness. I'm not a snob and my ears can still see a huge improvement in movie watching at a cheaper price. You will like this amplifier.
👤Great inputs. Good power. 60hz pass through. The enhanced HDMI option can be enabled. Arc control. I like it. The surround left channel is dead. The receiver died not even two years after the event. I'm disappointed, and that's coming from a Sony fan. My last receiver was from Sony. This was brought down from 5 stars to 2 by me. I think I'm buying a Denon.
👤I have an old entertainment system with a center and surround set that I use this unit to drive. The unit sounds good even with questionable speakers. I listen to my music on my phone. I use it. I know that makes many people cringe. I used the automatic calibration to set this up. Mozart's 25th was put on by selected music surround. My wife could hear how much better this setup was. Everything was in balance. It had a rich sound and clear highs. The surround did not sound fake. It was like sitting in an orchestra pit. It sounded great to have DVDs and cable TV. I can't hear the voices. The Movie HD-Digit setting is clear and easy to understand. There is a night mode that makes it easier to understand voices. The unit works great out of the box. It is powerful enough for a small home office, and I have it set up there. If you want to annoy the neighbors, you might need a bigger unit. I am very pleased with this purchase, and I love it.
👤Sony got it right. The receiver has 4K and HDR pass-through. The inputs are 2.2 compliant. It is easy to set up. The power is at 145W per channel. It will expand to 5.1 soon if you hook it up to a couple BIC tower speakers and a Dayton Subwoofer. There is no rush because the Front Surround feature really makes 2.1 sound like real surround. I couldn't be more happy with my purchase because it's heavy and built like a tank so it should last. The seller was praised for ordering on Monday and being delivered on Wednesday.
There is a soNOS COMPATIBLE. You can join your existing system or start a new one with this Onkyo receiver. The AVR can wake, change inputs, and play at the desired volume from the Sonos app. A smart appliance. This is the center of your entertainment system. You can access streaming content from Amazon Music, Deezer, TIDAL, and tuneIn as part of a multi-room system. There is a playback. The effects of films and games can be wrapped around the room with the help of advanced sound mapping in the formats. Classic titles can be enjoyed in your 3D speaker layout. DOLBY ATMOS. Without using additional surround or height speakers, the virtual surround and height effect can be created. 5.1.2-ch. There are features. There is support for 4K/60p and HDR. Dynamic Audio Amplification has a custom transformer, customCapacitors, and a custom amplifier. The power source is corded electric. The technology is called theusb
👤I bought this item a couple of months ago. It was fine for 2 months but now there is no video signal from the receiver. If the issue is with the projector, I tried all the steps online. The issue with my OnKYO AVR was confirmed by the research. Contacted AMAZON for product support. They tried some very basic steps to fix the problem, but gave up in a heartbeat. I was referred to ONKYO but it didn't help. I nearly paid over $600 for this item, but it is no longer working and I don't know what to do. Contacted Amaon support. I have to deal with this issue myself and onkyo if they help me, I missed the bus. I poured my hard earned money down the drain. Really Disappointed with AMAZON.
👤The days of plugging a few speaker wires into the back of your stereo receiver are over. The Onkyo is a smart addition to my home theater system. One HDMI cord from each device - Apple TV, satellite DVR, DVD, etc - goes into the back of the receiver and one "main" HDMI cord runs from the receiver to the TV and your new system just joined the Geek Squad. The Onkyo made all my devices "smart", so when one of them is turned on, the TV and the receiver are ready to fill your room with wall-to-wall sound. Everything else powers down when the device is turned off. It was easy to set-up and I was enjoying 5.1 sound within a few minutes. The Zone 2 speakers in my backyard are powered by Onkyo and I called their customer service hotline to find out if a separate feed into Zone 2 was allowed. This unit upscales non-4K content for my 4K monitor while true 4K content from my streaming services is gorgeous. My previous dumb receiver was an Onkyo that lasted more than 15 years. I hope the 595 unit keeps me entertained for a long time.
👤The product description is not accurate. The NR595 does not have a built-in device.
👤I have had issues with this receiver from the beginning. I will have to send it to a service center in NJ. Who knows how long that will take. I will buy another one at a place like Best Buy where it is easier to return.
👤I got it for my PS4 but I didn't get 4K through the receiver. I had to plug the PS4 into the TV and get the audio back to the system. I expected it to be worse, but it was. My shield works well with the system.
👤The chip issues of the past have been fixed. I was happy with the sound and the chip issues of the old NR-TX609, which was replaced by this. The 595 has been great so far, but the upscaling is not as good as my old 609 was. I bought an aircom to keep the 595 cool. Hopefully a longer life.
👤This was easy to set up. I was going to get Audessey. I was on the fence with a Denon. I need more features in the NR595. The sound is good. I was worried about Onkyo's amplification taking the place of Audessey. This was my first experience with auto calibration. I set my own settings. I don't know how calibration came up with its numbers, but they seemed off. I don't know. There are similarities between the old one and the new one. I like what I have so far, but I am in the process of dating the speakers with Polk. Polk T15 is on order. I'm using speakers from an older system for height speakers. I am very pleased that Atmos works.

👤A review is just an experience. It was bought in October of 2019. No surround sound. Is it possible to have a DVD player and a video output? Not HD? It looks like only a preamplifier. Half of my audio stopped. I contacted the vendor through Amazon. They gave me a website for the return of warranty. The shipping was going to be $30-40 each way, and the forms wanted my credit card, but I spent over $200 on the unit. I could pay return postage. The week will turn around. I decided to either fix it or destroy it. Not likely to buy another. Just my experience.
👤The previous model was great. It lasted about 2 years. We had some issues with the supplier after ordering this one. An issue was quickly resolved after we got an Amazon supervisor involved. It sounds better than the BA model when we get the correct version. The speaker quality is strong. I'm sure we'll enjoy many years of quality sound from our home theater system, we've received 4 replacements so far. The bass-signal lights inop were faulty and had a sticker on the box that said it was the new model. They called their company and were told they had a faulty unit and should call Amazon. On the 4th, Daniel held a 3 way call with the Pyle co. JR lied to Daniel until he realized I was on the call. He said something. Oh yes. I spoke with JR 15 minutes earlier. I called 48 hours later after JR said someone wouldn't call me in 24 hours. Someone would call in 24 hours. I got a call from a lady who said that my antenna was not good and that I should not send another unit. I resisted. The antenna was attached to a receiver. It is fine. I wanted a credit card. She had a 3 way relationship with Amazon. He refused to give us credit. The Amazon rep Eric apologized to me and arranged for a physical pickup at our home, he couldn't believe how the PYLE rep acted. The PYLE should be removed from Amazon's site. The PILE was delivered to our home. Thanks to Daniel and Eric! We ordered a Yamaha from Amazon and it works great with our existing car. Stay away from the products. The product and the support from PYLE are a problem.
👤The ad is not accurate. I was one of the many who fell for the value of this product. If you miss your return window, it's worse. The manufacturer wants you to think about assisting them. It was definitely taken on the chin with this item. There were static and distorted sounds. Don't waste time or money.
👤The power delivery of the Preamp is very good. The cheap Boytone Multi player is combo Cassette, CD, TT, player via the speaker output jacks. Aux. In jacks. This is a very good value for $200. It is sturdy and well built. The falli g is short of 5 stars because of the noise generated by the Pyle. It has a nice bonus, but it is a bit noisey. I haven't tested the Radio orBT functions yet. The controls are confusing and have too many buttons. I can tolerate the unit's Glitzy look with knobs and lights, but it may be a little over the top for some. What are the controls for Bass and Treble? The operating manual is convoluted and offers little instructions. The manual does not show the rear panel of my unit. The remote control's function description is not clear. I am using a self powered Sub Woofer, even though I am using a Pyle Preamp to deliver stereo music from my Bookshelf speakers. The front panel of the Pyle has a volume control knob. I like that. It is doing the job to my satisfaction so far. It's not a Onkyo, Yamaha, Denon, but it's a very satisfactory product for my purpose, and aside from some noise, it doesn't really resonance as you turn up the volume. I also bought a Pioneer XA10 Receiver. After playing it for a while, it started to emit loud noises through the speakers. Triple checked all the connections against the unit but it still delivered a terrible distortion. The Pioneer is going back. The Pioneer was almost indiscernable in its sound and the Pyle had a very loud sound. The sudden crackling and distortion of the unit told me there was something wrong with it. Hope this helps. I'll try to update the review comments after some more use. Stay safe.
There is a playback in the movie. The next-generation audio codec from DTS is called Dolby Atmos and it uses object-based audio to enable new interactive audio experiences. Bluetooth is a company. You can connect your phone, PC, or tablet to the receiver with the help of the technology. Whenever the smart receiver sees an incoming audio stream, it starts playing. DOLBY ATMOS. Without using additional surround or height speakers, the virtual surround and height effect can be created. 5.1.2ch. The personal preset. Press the personal preset button on the front panel for three seconds to change your settings. Up to three preset can be called up from the front panel button or remote control. RANGE CONTROL. You can use the up/down key on the remote control to make independent volume adjustments to the range, including dialogues in films, with this unique mid-range sound control feature.
👤I have a VSX-1130 in my living room and I really like it. I wanted to buy one for my basement, but didn't want to spend a lot. The price is 3 times the price of the 1130 I can't tell the difference in sound. The 1130 has bells and whistles, but the 534 is light and easy to set up. What else would you like? The sound from the 534 blew away the old Onkyo I replaced. Very happy. I would have gotten the 534 instead of the 1130 if I could do it over. Very happy. I replaced my old receiver with a cheaper one in my living room. It sounds better. Still very happy with it.
👤This is a fine piece of equipment if you don't need to use the HDMI connection to your TV. I needed the ARC capability when I bought this to use with my new TV. When the receiver is turned off, the signal will pass through. Problems exist with it on or off. I have a satellite input to the receiver and the ARC connected to it. There is an audio delay when you pause a tv show and start again. When you channel surf or change channels, the output to the tv becomes scrambled and you will lose the output altogether. I had to stop using the tv receiver because it was so bad. It took me a while to realize that the problem was the AV receiver and that I should have connected the tv directly to the satellite box. I missed the 30 day return so I'm stuck with the problem.
👤If you have small space, you're a great receiver. I own a huge Pioneer VSX that is twice the size and weight of the 534. If it's too big to fit in a cabinet. If there is plenty of power and features, a smaller surround can fit anywhere. Unless you wire the unit to the TV to complete setup, you cannot get out of setup mode. I didn't want to use the receiver to run my TV. I only wanted to use an optical connection. I had to run the TV, DVD and Echo through the receiver after the TV prompt. The main front speaker connection allows for 14 gauge wire while the center and back channels speaker ins only allow 16 gauge wire.
👤I wanted to test this receiver out for a while before I submitted a review. I'm very happy with this Pioneer. This was a great upgrade to my old Kenwood 5.1, which did not support the new DTS, and which was replaced by a slightly newer Yamaha that bit the dust after a power surge. I don't like to listen to music but I do like the fact that a receiver can belt out music and a picture with no distortion. The receiver delivers on both fronts. Older and newer CDs are clear. The dialog is clear while the movies boom through my subs. I wish they put a second slot on the front of the device for quicker, more convenient firmware updates and simple mp3 players. Follow the instructions carefully. The website gives more information on the steps, but they require you to turn off HDMI. If you need a receiver in a pinch, this Pioneer is worth the money because it is well worth the money. I put a couple of AC fans on top of the receiver to keep it cool. The previous Yamaha I owned was so hot I could fry an egg. I'm not taking any chances with this one. This application is where the receiver shines, because I bought an Lg UBK80 4k player. The sound of Ex Machina was amazing, with clear dialogue and booming lows of the soundtrack. The explosions boomed when I watched the 4k version of Aquaman. When the Atlanteans shot off in the ocean, my room shook. I am using a Sony sub and a Yamaha sub with Bose surround sound. The receiver made everything shine. For the first time, I could tell that I had surround speakers.
